Live and Acoustic
I was thinking of recording some live acoustic tracks to my page, but first I must arrange and perform and record them. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or preference to which of my songs would work best in this bare, stripped down fashion. Any suggestion are much welcome as I have no idea what would work best.

Maybe you could video the actual recording?
I'm not familiar enough with your collection to make a request, but I'd be interested to hear your favorite, maybe with a brief introduction about why it IS your fave...
(there's one in every crowd, lol)

Great idea. I could quite easily video it. I think it would all be quite lo-fi but all in good fun.

That's the spirit, Ben...I haven't mustered the wherewithal to do more than the slightest dabbling in video, but I enjoy watching...Larree has had some fun with ustreamtv.com doing a "live" video broadcast while viewers can participate in text-chatting, which he can see, also "live"...and Titania (of SuperPuss) has been busily starting up indiemusicclips.com . . . no matter how you do it, I hope you have fun and I'll look forward to it...

Ben, all your songs I like alot! You can't go wrong with any of them. But OK how about, just piano and vocal on, Take the Gold. I think you could make that POP!

Good idea John, Ill get thinking on how that might work. It might be a few weeks before I get a good enough take to share with you all, but Ill get practicing.

Nice to see you, Ben, welcome back. I'll check out your video later today. Just a note, if you upload some mp3s and if you make the Kayak Big 25, you'll get played on 35 FM and college stations..

Thanks Scott, I shall get some things uploaded! I think all my old stuff is still on my profile. Got a few more videos on my YouTube profile of a few other bits too. Just going to have a look around the new site now and catch up with what people have been doing.

Ben,
I just watched and that was absolutely fabulous! Very reminiscent of Brian Wilson and I think your video, how you went about that was pretty freakin' unique. It's so great to see that you've kept at it, you are one of indie's brightest stars, I couldn't be more impressed. Damn! :)
