Art show (9/15&9/16) You guys will be played!!!(If not violating any rules)
Hi my friends :)
I had a great plan for an art show Ill have my jewelry in. My town's art guild has an annual art stroll through town. My office building is participating since most of the offices are artists studios! I think we will have 7 or 8 artists displays (mostly painters and photographers) in our building including my stuff. This is my first time participating in the event. I am told last year 200+ visitors each day in our building alone.
The reason I am telling you all about it is I wanted to create an awesome IAC playlist for background music while people are coming through.
I was not sure if this would violate any of the wierd laws I don't fully understand. Maybe someone could clue me in if I'm allowed to do it or not.
Of course I hope to get inquiry's about the music selections and to be able to tell people about IAC and where to purchase individual artists CD's etc :)
Any IAC officail input on this idea?

People stream IAC stations at parties and events all the time, so by all means do so!!
KIAC Radio now serves as the main radio stream for Cashbox magazine also.

Love the combo of Art / Music------much admiration for those who do both!
Creativity is sooo good for the soul, --------------------------------------------
more and more Artists are including their own art with their songs like Bat Lenny, Cosmic Silk Project, Silverwood, Man with no Band-----------------
If you want your art up --------shout to "The Art Gallery" station!
--------and enjoy the show!

It's a big and generous idea and I hope that it will give desire to those that are able to make the same thing in various places on the planet.
I must tell you that since some times one of my friends distributes some times the playlist of my stations in his restaurant here in France.

Great idea. IAC needs to be exposed everywhere possible. An art show would be the perfect place. Nobody appreciates obscurities more than artists. If you create a station for it please consider including us - I'm an illustrator and would feel right at home streaming through a gallery or studio or on the curb.
Here's an idea - Print some cards or flyers promoting IAC with a link right to the station you create for it and have them available wherever the music is being played.

I'm not sure our songs are guaranteed to evoke the right sort of 'buyer response' - might just clear the room instead ;) ha ha ha
Good luck Lauri! We hope it goes well for you...
