So the last one was a bit strange this one how ever
Totally kicks ass
The amazing thing about punk rock is that for years bands have tried to emulate the sounds and vibes created by the classic examples of the genre, whilst all the time failing to realize that those original bands never had a plan so to speak, it was music created from a struggle, a fight where the participants grabbed any weapon to hand and fought for something they believed in.
It’s this for this reason then that bands fall short of achieving that feel: it’s not in the equipment they use, the effects or the money thrown at it-it’s something in between the lines; something Product recall have produced with Liquor in the front, poker round the back. by simply playing what they wanted and letting that come across on the record.
The beer flying in the air opening ‘Not your song’ that carves its own niche in the dance floor, but very quickly Product Recall add interesting twists to the punk remit, ‘Brain machine’ is wandering round the Seattle grunge sound like a vagrant wanting a fight, it could have been a Nirvana B-side and no-one would have battered and eyelid.
There’s that melancholic madness that Therapy? purported here, started by ‘Brain machine’ and continued throughout, that frustration to the point of in articulation. It creates a brooding, murky undercurrent that sits behind the more commercial aspect of Product Recall’s music like a schizophrenic alter-ego.
There’s just enough progression here that it draws the listener in but doesn’t alienate them and feel by design-even if it is- and highlights the diversity of ideas and their subtle implementation.
Some songs could easily be the bridge between Nirvana and the Foo fighters and it’s an interesting place to come from ‘Smug you are’ hits right in the middle of that whole sound, and still Product Recall maintain their own character, even under the crushing weight of comparison.
‘Fuck, fuck I’ve got a mental’ just reinforces all the previous ideas, and you could honestly play it off as an unreleased Cobain effort, which should be seen as high praise-Kurt worked exceptionally hard at the sound he produced, despite it sounding like it would fall apart at any moment, it was carefully constructed. Product Recall has a similar-this could come apart at the seams, but it won’t stop us beating the life out of the tune-mentality.
You shouldn’t hold on too tightly to the comparisons made here, more use them as introductory handshakes to Product Recall.
Perhaps one of the most extreme examples of PR’s reach is in hidden track ‘Dead quiet’ which deals with an unsettlingly, dark topic with a maturity and invention that frankly it should be a direction that they may want to consider looking into.
With all this comparison and exploration Product Recall could have become serious, in danger of becoming self absorbed-too considered, so it’s just as well then that when they throw their rendition of ‘Twinkle, twinkle’ into the mix, and it’s a version that whilst holding it’s tongue in cheek nicely, also sticks it’s tongue out at its own earnest efforts in a glorious as graffiti salute to punk.

Incredibly Honest, Positive and THOROUGH review, School.
I agree with almost everything this Critic says.... You guyz are just scratchin' the surface right now... LOVE your style, your passion, and your aggressive energy.
And YES Twinkle Twinkle is some of the best punk I've heard in a few years.
And YES, Some of your EXCELLENT tunes could've been Inspired by Kurt Cobain, from the Afterlife.
Pop, your Lead Vocalist, DEFINITELY channels him at times, and your guitars have that BEAUTIFUL Grunge meets PUnk/Metal feel.
Except for The Best of Conversation Suicide so far.... (I'm biased), I have GOT to say, THIS is the MOST important CD of 2009; with DirgeK's forthcoming release (that Princezzz & crew are doing the cover for) and Jesse Adams' latest work, following as a close second, and THIRD, in my little opinion.
Never say fuckin' NEVER
NEVER fuckin' let it DIE
Follow that Fuckin' Dream
FUCK fuck, I've got a Mental!

you know Phlegm i could never thank you enough or show you the correct amount of gratitude for the amount of promo and shout outs you give us here on IAC, you are a one man promo animal.
Since the record has been released we have had 4 reviews, one weird as fuck, one who blatantly admitted in the review that he hates our music genre and two good ones but the above one i must say is the one i am most proudest of, the dude who wrote it totally understood our direction and vision and its nice to have some one say they 'get it'.

School I'm with you there. It's the people that "get it", that make doing your music worthwhile.
Anyhoo.... KOMPLETELY KILLER review... Definitely should be in a press release for Product Recall. Looking at how many times this topic has been viewed, I'm bettin' folks out there in bloggity blog land have read it. I was just hopin' for some more commentary!
Congrats again guys. You are worthy of such praise from a reviewer, make NO mistake. Gotta rush off to work again, but thought I should at least check into a blog as critical as this one. DAMN, is life fuckin' BUSY when you're tryin' to get your music out to those who "get it", eh? Talk to you again soon, man. Like this weekend

p.s. > WHAT THE FUCK? Honesly, WHat the SHIT is this?
i KNOW there's other Grunge/Punk/Metal/Screamo/Hard Alternative FUSION music lovers out there, or even just lovers of Rock & Roll. I guess they're just too busy to blog right now? PLEASE, somebody besides me should bring out HOW fuckin' amazing this review is.
AND seriously, FUCKIN" VOTE for PRODUCT RECALL in this damn contest,. once you've given 'em a LISTEN and seen how their music TRULY does start from where Kurt left off, and take it into the year of our Lord, 2012 - THE KILLER ROck & ROLL of the NEW millenium.
In Alternative (twinkle, Twinkle) and HARD ROCK/Metal (Fuck, fuck I've got a mental)

Dude don't sweat it, since day one of the band i always knew we would never be every ones cup of tea (too much rock'in awesomeness for most people). I don't need everyone to tell me how good we are or how good this review is. I'm just glad some people get it (it felt pretty cool when i spoke to your daughter earlier and she said she digs on it).
But i will say that when i first read this review i was so happy i could of cried, to be compared to my own personal hero's and to be bigged up in out own right was amazing. Some'll get it some wont. Oh well what ever nevermind
