Richard Scotti---Silver Wood
Cheers and applause --Silver Wood------finally climbed to #1 all genres
Silver Wood is a special tune to us, something from left field ---- that we never expected when we signed up at IAC
There is a special story that supports this tune---both tragic and hopeful, ---and reaching across huge distances of ocean from New York USA to Nelson New Zealand
The circle is complete---Great news, and a silent tear shed------

Thank you so much for the kind words, Rob. Writing this song was something I didn't know I would do when I signed up at IAC either. I was searching for inspiration for my next song and I when I read your bio, I was so moved, I knew I had to write a song about it.
At the time I never dreamed that it would have such a cathartic impact on you and your family as well as on myself. I never thought that a song like this would also become so popular with so many listeners. The whole process of writing and recording the song became a very emotional experience and what started out as an experiment turned into something much deeper. it was a difficult task that I was totally immersed in for months. The subject matter became a part of my life in a way that was truly mind blowing. Exploring the pain of a family I barely knew became very painful for me personally and after many e-mails back and forth between me and you, I felt like I truly knew you and your family. I felt as though I had experienced a loss in my own family and that I was grieving with you. This whole experience started with an exercise in song writng that resulted in friendship, consolation, catharsis and artistic achievement. Who knew???
I never realized how powerful a song could be in the lives of others and in my own life too. I always have high hopes for every song I write but I never thought I would ever reach #1 in all genres. Thank you for your friendship and support throughout my tenure at IAC and thank you to all the listeners who supported the song. I feel blessed, honored and humbled.

Congratulations Richard on the success of “Silver Wood”, a song that you were obviously destined to write surrounding the very personal and tragic circumstances that created the inspiration for the song.
As happens from time to time following a tragedy, the lives of people often become inter-twined emotionally creating bonds between those who might otherwise remain strangers, and in the case of yourself and Rob and his family in their loss, thousands of miles apart on opposite sides of the world.
Music has no limit to the feelings it can express or to the heart it can reveal.

Amen to all of the above. I'm thinking music is as powerful as the elements - Universal in every sense of the word.

Hi Again
Well this is getting interesting--I put a link to the all Genre Charts on our FB page and got quite a few likes shares and comments, including a couple of Trolls, heh
-------- mostly very positive and it brings new faces to this site, also, it is a true story which makes it pretty unique in todays contrived world!!
