Advertising commissions/accidents
We have finally negotiated two commissions -----
"GONDWANA" has been sold to an international agricultural product manufacturer via an add agency-----and WE retain the copyright! so watch out for us in an Elliots vineyard spray add.
Also Port Marlborough is using two of our instrumental tracks on a promotional DVD---and we keep the copyright.
Life got really crazy, one of our partners ran over a person lying on the road at 1am---- 2 weeks ago, and we still don't know the legal implications---the police have the car--and we just have to wait while things work through. It has taken its toll on all of us----
this is why we won't be voting etc in the Kayak awards---we have too much on our plate!!
I wish all those nominated the very best, especially my close friends here
Peace Now

I should add that we are very sorry for the family of the guy who was killed----- and have put flowers at the roadside---he had a high level of alcohol in his blood, and it was out on the highway---the car was all legal---so there may not be any charges!
(we hope)
It has been a sobering experience!!

That's terrible about your friend - even if he's cleared legally he must be gutted emotionally. Our thoughts are with him.
Great news about the commissions though - well done!
It's just coming up to harvest here in the vineyards - so I guess they'll be pickin' to the sounds of "Gondwana"!!

It has been a bit surreal!!
We are getting ready for harvest here too---the biggest vintage yet in Marlborough!
You know I'd love to share a bottle sometime---------

Condolences and congratulations required in the same blog.
What will life deal out next? No wonder parents try to teach their kids to be careful and also to appreciate what comes their way.

Congrats on the "Gondwana" success! It's an excellent song, and the tip of the Silverwood iceberg. You have my best thoughts headed your way, concerning the automobile incident. Hopefully everything will work out for the best.

As says Susan life is made of top and bottom, it is as the waves some are frightening and hard to face, others carry away you in a big journey.
PS: Congrats on the "Gondwana" success! It's an excellent song.
In a friendly way.

Rob thats great news, I'm gald to hear you're getting some restitution for all your hard work. Sad for the victim in the accident but even sadder for the other victim, your mate, lets hope common sense prevails.
Best of luck

Robbie, first CONGRATULATIONS, the news is excellent, thrilled you all must be. And I am for you.
Then, how terrible for your mate and, by extention, for the rest of you. I am hoping that all turns out legally well.

Terry, SRM, Hugo, Marc, Mark And Lace!
Thank you so much for the love and support!
I hope I can be as thoughtful should ever the need arise----and my wish is that it never will!!
It is a tragedy---and we will stand together, but we are gutted!!

It's one of those moments when the positives and negatives collide and something gained is something lost... here is the mathmatical equasion that supports the theory...
High-energy collision induced dissociation of iridium hexa-halide dianions: Observation of triple electron detachment and other decay pathways
Abstract
Lifetimes of the IrBr62- and IrCl62- gas-phase ions were measured in an electrostatic ion storage ring as 3.3 ± 0.1 s and 3.1 ± 0.1 s, respectively. The lifetimes indicate that the dianions are not subject to spontaneous decay under ambient conditions, since they are associated with decay resulting solely from high-energy collisions with residual gas (5 × 10-11 Torr) that is present in the ring. To further investigate the high-energy collisional decay dynamics, IrBr62- and IrCl62- were subjected to high-energy collision induced dissociation measurements in an accelerator mass spectrometer (ion translational energy in laboratory frame = 100 keV). A number of daughter ions were formed following the high-energy collisions (e.g., IrCl62- produced IrCl6-, IrCl5-, IrCl4-, IrCl3- and Cl-). The presence of the intact monoanion (i.e., IrCl6-) indicates that electron detachment is a prominent decay process, in contrast to low-energy collisional excitation where IrCl5- and Cl- are produced via ionic fragmentation. The predominance of electron detachment occurring as a result of high-energy collisions was further illustrated by charge-reversal measurements where cationic daughter fragments were observed, consistent with triple electron detachment. This measurement indicates that high-energy collisional activation of dianions should represent a general approach for studying triple electron detachment of molecular anions.
( No... not really... I totally just made that up. )
Actually Silver... these bizarre alignments of things just don't have any real answers and there is never really anyone to blame. That can be rather frusterating, and hard to accept. And it almost Robs you ( no pun intended ) of your accomplishment casting a shadow over head. But nonetheless... congratulations on your accomplishment and I wish for you and your mates that you are able to enjoy the glow of your charmed moment and that doesn't have to mean you have any less of a reverence for the tragic thing that has happened. But life is always going to have twists and turns and life is going to end for all of us sooner or later and hopefully quite peacefully but in the end we don't have much control over that other than our common sense. As unfortunate as that is, we have to focus on the living as life goes on and embrace healing and that which brings us joy. Otherwise, it's all in vain really. So congratulations and I hope you are able to smile at your latest accomplishment and celebrate it as it is something that will bring affirmation of life and joy and hope and that is all worth your time as much as grief. What a contrast of emotions to have to contend with ... not easy...I feel for you and hope you have a sense of humor to help you through. Many blessings towards your life and dreams ... anjuli

This is Marvelous (not a word I use)
ewe have maid my dai----
It reminds me of my friend Bill --a jade carver-----who worked out mathematically an equation to describe the tensile hardness of greenstone!!
He turned up at our place in the middle of the night waving all these sheets of paper covered in theory and tiny numbers-----we poured a beer and sat for hours while he explained-------- after several more beers he went home-------the next morning he was locked up in a mental hospital!!

good luck,

Really appreciated!! ---In the add, the music (gondwana) is playing as we zoom over a beautiful sunny vineyard------ then the camera comes in closer and we see little grubs attacking the vines ---the music fades and a raw bass didge cuts in as a spray guy hits the grubs-------then the plants sort of glow and straighten and "gondwana cuts back in -----no dialogue apparently!
btw it's ORGANIC! yay!

Congratulations,
I hope you guys get a whole bunch of cool things happening with your Music. I hope your Friend doesn't beat himself up too much for the accident, 'cause that's what it sounds like it was. Shit happens, and sometimes out of bad things, up jumps Spring. It obviuosly was the drunk guy's "time to go" as it were. We can only hope that he Didnt feel a thing, and made a seamless transition to the other side, but as for your mate, he can't blame himself, even though it's Human to do so. You guys are Great, friendly, homestyle, rootsy Folks, and I hope the best for all of you. Hey, say a Prayer, or think a good thought towards my Singer, Drummer and Soulmate Michele Franklin-She's back in that damn hospital!
Love, and Peace NOW!
