those songs that no one else seems to love--THE BLACK SHEEP STATION
to all of you here at iac--
friends, competitors, mentors, admin staff, management, pipeline staff, nerds, big names, singer-songwriters, listeners!!!!
We will be thanking everyone personally---but as you can probably imagine we were totally shocked and blown away when we got 3 awards---and we went a bit feral---and had to hide away for a while!
I feel so much for all of those fantastic Artists who were nominated and yet were dissappointed on the day!! This is what we were expecting for our tunes------up against such great Artists as Ainjel, Susan Raven, Vinceno, and so many more!!!
I am so thrilled as a parent to see my boys music getting recognition ---there is no more I can say about that----------------- my chest is sore!!
Soon my feet will touch the ground again------ and it will be "business as usual"
Kiwi love to all
Robbie

Rob,
As you mentioned in my blog on this very topic, I know exactly how you feel!!!!
Revel in it my friend. This is a very special moment for us all. You must be just so overjoyed as a parent too.
I use the word AWESOME a lot around here but that is because the people around here tend to inspire it's use!
I feel extremely privileged to be part of such an amazing, vibrant community of inspiring and talented indie musicians. I feel a musical freedom here which is beyond words. :)
You guys ROCK and to receive no less than THREE Kayaks is a real tribute to the oooodles of talent you all display.

Ditto to Hugh and Titania, Rob. Enjoy the well-deserved appreciation of all of us who are inspired and driven to creative excellence by the standard that you set. The successes that you've been experiencing are due to the great music you create, and the depths to which it touches the soul. To borrow from Ti- Awesome!

Hi Maria,
Well we know what it feels like now!!!----alwaays wondered!!!!!
sweet and sour---- happy and sad---you know!!
what we will take from it will be that we are surrounded by the sharpest set of musicians ever assembled in one place on the web, who also happen to be open to hearing something different----without predjudices getting in the way!!
I know there are better sounds here on iac than us---but we try to push the envelope---and we try to be versatile!!
Those three tunes are all totally different and came from different moods and places------it gave us a chance to show our versatility and instrumentation, and we have such a ball when we do get to play
Today I went on a workshop about internet traffic-----2 more sessions over 2 weeks---should be interesting!
I love this feeling-----thanks M

One of my favourite songs is 'Colleen' but it never gets added to stations. It has a great story if you read the lyrics. I like DoReMe also but that has never been added as it is a Demo
