Dylan concert here last night!
Bob played Christchurch NZ last night-------the theme was blues and R &B with a show that had everyone spellbound---amazing versions of "Tangled up in Blue" and opening with "Masters of War" for G W Bush!
He was a diminutive, slightly arrogant figure, (Dylan not Bush) who controlled the band, and never spoke directly to the audience---------who were with him all the way!
Tonite Bob plays Wellington (the capital)
If you have a Dylanesque bent and want plays, shout to Bob Dylan tribute Station!

I just enjoyed seeing the Scorsese documentary on Dylan recently - I'm a little behind the times (lol) - sounds like a good show to have seen, glad you had the chance...

Larry , I can't get that to play-----------but I did enjoy the "Masters of War " that you put up ! Hugo, you are ahead of me, if you've seen that doco!
So different to how he delivers now. In fact every song had a different arrangement than was expected, sometimes we'd be halfway through before we recognised it----------Dylan constantly evolves, we'll never see him in NZ again, so it was a must see--------at one point a male fan yelled out " talk to us Bob"
and Bob just looked slightly embarresed ------for a split second!

Tangled Up in Blue is my favorite Dylan song. He sure has lived up to being a lifelong musical troubador!

Always infamous as he is and always was...Dylan caught heat from the
critics for his make-up look during this time...and I'm sure he laughed
cynically and thumbed his nose at the whole bleeding lot o them..ha ha ha
