Oldies - Golden, 1950 to 1965 Genre … and more
In the list of Genres under the “Find Music” tab on the front page, “Oldies - Golden, 1950 to 1965” is clearly listed.

My latest CD album, Those Were The Days, released two days before Christmas, includes 14 licensed cover songs from the late 1950's – early 1960's, songs that I paid significant licensing fees for the right to record.

When I went to add one of the songs from the album to my Artists page, the "Oldies - Golden, 1950 to 1965" genre was not an available option on either the Genre or Subgenre list on the “Add a Song” page.

Apparently, the reason it is not an option even though it is clearly listed in the list of genres in the “Find Music” tab on the front page, is because the genre ‘was not used much at all’ and that was why it wasn’t being utilized.

Sadly then it seems, there is no place at IMP for the music that I and others of my generation grew up with and that I cut my teeth on as teenager going to high school during that era when I was a budding musician and songwriter in my own right.

When an arbitrary decision is made to eliminate such an integral genre of music in our culture from the website, a “Closed” sign might just as well be hung over the “Welcome” sign.

Happy New Year – may it bode better for the future of IAC/IMP.

Neil

well it's just a fact that nobody used those genres. On top of that, all songs have a genre based on the style of music. We have genres for all to fit in and if those don't cut it you can put it in miscellaneous.

Thanks but no thanks, Scott - miscellaneous doesn't "cut it" for me. I'll look elsewhere.

REALLY! You must be joking Neil! I can't believe you're making a fuss about the lack of a genre for your Oldie Cover songs! Even limiting it to a 15 year period.

Surely your music is not so unique that it wouldn't fit into Rock, Country, Retro, Americana, Easy listening or even Alternative. Look in those genres and you'll find more labels than you could throw a stick at. TOO MANY in fact. Remember how hard it was to locate Golden Kayak nominations from all those different genres! But someone still found you Neil and they didn't find me so be grateful.

Miscellaneous is a last resort I agree, but last year I won in Miscellaneous with a Progressive Orchestral Showtime Waltz... now that song really was hard to place, not like yours.

I bet any money that when the GK winners are announced, people will be moaning that the winner was in the wrong genre. Be more open minded folks, let's not get anal about putting things in boxes.

Why not just have a genre for 'Covers' or 'Neil w Young songs' or maybe a genre for 'Songs that me and my friends like'

You won't find this much choice anywhere else.... in fact we'd ALL be struggling to find a better place to upload our music - believe me I've looked and no site can hold a candle to the freedom, choice and scope we have here at IMP.

The fact that people still hark back to the good old days of IAC says something about their refusal to move forward. This is probably not the right place for you if you can't find a genre (or sub genre) out of the 100s available here.

No offence :)

BY the way, I went to view your album and I found this rather provocative and ungenerous announcement from yourself Neil.

"Unfortunately, as the "Oldies - Golden, 1950 to 1965" genre has been cut from the available choice of genres on the "Add a Song" page, songs from the album will not be posted on Neil's page"

HOW VERY CHILDISH, this is what 'cutting your nose off to spite your face' is all about, AND AT YOUR AGE TOO, you should remove that and put your songs up asap if you care about your readership.

I'm not known for having a go at people, I'm usually very liberal and I have liked your stuff in the past, but I don't like this sort of behaviour. Indies should be supporting each other not making snide accusations when something doesn't exactly fit their personal agenda.

There are not TWO sides to this place, it's a relatively little known organisation with a simple goal but it's JUST ONE TEAM! Let's not fight ourselves x

Hey Neil. It's Lesley.

Man, I am telling you, You Are Welcome Here,
and about the genre thing, it's a label, man, don't sweat it.

Me and the boys used to use the "Beatles Rock" genre,
on account of we rock, and these two actually were Beatles,
it almost seemed funny... but after a while,
we just started putting everything, but everything, under simply,
'Rock, and sub genre, also Rock'.

Why?
Well for one thing, Behold Our Power,
Redefining Rock.
That's Great Fun, redefining rock and you can do it too Neil.

Neil,

I'm sharing some of a new perspective with you, Buddy.

Old Is New Again.

So, what we called oldies, merely yesterday...

ain't old no more.
It's new again.

Because I said it is and I can punch real goddamned hard, how's that.

No really.

You think the future is shaped by labels?

No, it's shaped like crazy sumbitches like us, Neil,
and then lesser men get to slapping the goddamned labels on it.

Now,

you wanna talk about defying, not just defining, genres,

then you write to me, Buddy,
and we'll talk about what kind of records to make,
that'll melt all their damned brains.

'Cause, you got the mojo, Son.

And I know me something about Mojo.

Happy new year, all EVERYBODY Here At Indiemusicpeople.com

I got a good feeling about this new year,

I think it's Time, Indies Come Into Our Own.

Jaws Baby,

I still wanna make a record with you too Sweetheart,

when you warm up to it.

Everything in the proper time.

Hey now whatever you do
remember that you
been doing this
all
your
life.

So don't lose heart, now Neil. You hear?

Okay then.

God Bless, Much Love, ~Lesley Jane

Have a Good One Everybody....

Yeah, why not,

call it all Rock,
or all Country...

the label ain't the thing, Neil.

What's in those grooves, man.

Well that's an old analogy now...

what's in those zeros and ones, man.

Don't worry about what to call it,

and you know what else, Neil?

Serious, we can make New Classics,

and them, you won't have to pay nobody to do.

Heck, I been up to it. Write to me. You got the address right?
They on my pages.

Well, I dare say Jilli Anne that was quite a firestorm you leveled at me and my character. No point in my repeating the adjectives and innuendos – I prefer not to read them again anyway. I did find the use and capitalization of certain words a bit much though, unnecessary, really.

In all fairness though your post held some constructive viewpoints that I will take into consideration once I get past the insults – sorry for feeling that some were, insults that is, although it was difficult not to. They were perhaps made in the heat of the moment though, so you are forgiven and no lasting offence taken.

On the other hand, your post and comments Leslie were appreciated, constructive and conciliatory, thereby providing opportunity for serious reconsideration on my part. Thank you.

Neil

Sometimes it's no use tiptoeing around a subject. Leslie said practically the same as me but in a blatantly sycophantic way which I'm sure you prefer. THE BEST BITS ALWAYS SHOULD BE IN UPPER CASE no-one reads the other stuff properly.

Okay, you really do like to be insulting, he's right ya know.

Oh of course you do, and that's NOT About To CHANGE, now is it.

I mean really, admonishing an accomplished full grown man,
telling him HE IS BEING CHILDISH, what is that? Who does that?
Are You a Grade School TEACHER?

Neil, she just insulted me worse. Called me a sycophant.
AT least You Can SPELL It, Dear. And you are that more than I shall ever be,
think about it, and then bite my head off Lovely One. I want you to have
the full flavor of irony when you do come 'round to chew me 'ead off.

I've given up on genres.
You know that? I have. Given up on 'em.
Everything we do now, whether it's me, the boys, the this, the that, whatever,
it's all Rock, Rock.

BECAUSE. Genres Are Bullshit.
Just another way to divide us all.

My Word, Jill, I cannot imagine the frustration which must be you, Lovely One.

You really need a good proper attending to, and I hope someone is.

By the way, Folks,

it's L-e-s-l-e-y.

Also, you really do use capital letters in a somewhat shoot past the mark way,
Dear Jill of Jaws who wonders why the boys all run away.

No no no, not at all Dear, we all wanna get our thing bit off. It's fun isn't it.

AS ONE Whom This Has Happened To,

No.
No it is not.

Not on a jolly bet.

I love you PASSIONATELY Jill.

I still won't let you impugn a good man, and a great artist.

Neil W Young, You RAWK.

Jill, you are exceptionally talented, but need a serious mind of equal
or greater talent to bounce ideas off of to come up with The Holy Grail
stuff I sense you are trying to find. The best works of Art, involve Love somehow.

Neil, for the sake of accuracy,
I am going to say, Jill made a point, saying it is cutting off your tits
to spite your jaws or whatever it is, to say "No genre I want?? I'm leaving."
And I'm an expert at hissy fissy stomp on the floor and storm out the door.
Hey. Song Title Alert. Neil, you so should be making records with me.
We'd take everything by storm. I am telling you, I know we would.
It's just-I know what it iseverybody knows I'm a banana rama ding dong,

and this is too much of a challenge to them,
forget that I am insanely talented, they just see the 'insane' part
(and really, you're all bloody well that, don't fool yourselves, look closer,
you're all gone like a goose as well, so I won't harbor your posturing any of you)

and then they don't wanna bother further....

one day, I will find, The Partner, whomever the fuck it is,
that I SHOULD be working with,

and WE, whomever the hell we are, shall Get To It Then.

Jill, I dare you Dear, to make EVEN ONE bloody record with me.

I wonder if you can stand the heat, even that long.
Long as it takes, to do one, proper record.

Darling, you can't fill the void with bitterness. Believe me,
if you could, I would know about it, and have it cataloged.

You can choose to turn this exchange Gill,
(there, how do you like seeing you mame dispelled)
into a contest to see who in fact can be the Bigger BITCH.
You can. I'm game. People will watch, it will be entertaining.
Only, if you do choose that, well you're terribly bored indeed,
AND you want your ass handed to you for a nice new hat.

We should be cozy pals, Jill Won't You Jill Won't You Stay, Ah...

But instead of seek musical Greatness as you COULD, But Don't,

it's all this,

what, so we can crown you the biggest bitch then?

That would be super easy, were it not for the fact that I exist.

Oh are you up past your bedtime too?

Well then My Love, Let The Games Begin.

I warn you though, I am professionally trained in all manner of Bitchery.

You have no idea.

Neil,

just like fire on the water and I eat what I burn.

Smoke it too. Hmm MMM.

Jill, huff puff, stomp, fret, especially fret,
I think I get hot thinking about you fretting.

You've met your match, and you can't bloody stand it, CAN YOU.

This Message Was Brought To You By,

Space Pygmies,

and by

Dolphins On Crack,

and by,

a tiny little tiny row of tiny men with tiny tens of toes,
themselves, even remarkably tinier,
so everything sounded tinnier,

and the finial,
is strictly for millennials.

WARNING:
This World Contains BULLSHIT.

ENTER AT OWN RISK.

Jill, imagine, the creative energy, you piss away Darling,
barking and biting people,

when you could be diving for pearls.

With me, I'm a good swimmer you know.

I am Orca, hop on, Kid.

But no.

YOU'D Rather HATE Me.

Oh, you'll call it something else.
But you'd rather posture and condescend,
then double back to utter more utter nonsense at Neil.
Because the one point you did make is,
how'd you put it? Don't cut off your song to spite your lyrics or whatever?

Genres blow. That's what Genres are for.
Music, is music, you like it, or you don't.

Many kinds of music? Many kinds of people.
We call them, all, HUMAN.

I tell you,

yes Neil, I'd LOVE to make a record with you Mate,

but it really is L-e-s-l-e-y.

Yes, I know I am a Bitch.
But I use My Bitch Powers For Goodness.

Not for ego inflated self gratification, designed to make me somehow
feel consoled in my hum drummery.

Yeoowww.

*warning,

this one is full strength.

Lesley I don't think anyone would challenge you in your desired status as the biggest bitch. Who could compete?

As for the subject of this topic, yeah it gets a little sticky here when the majority owner gets unhappy with the CEO for not having a genre he wants. Maybe everyone should chime in how the IMP genres are insufficient. The right to complain and run down the site on the pipeline shouldn't just be for shareholders.

Maybe this site needs to be about the users. Not the shareholders. Unless the shareholders don't give a fuck if they are the only users. Look at how the pipeline has been fucked up and slower than dense shit since it was removed from the front page. Just sayin'.

Scott, I LOVE YOU.

Been meaning to tell you this for some time now.
You finally pried it out of me.

This, THIS HERE, is The Nicest Thing You've EVER Said To Me.

Far as running down the site, nonsense.
Look, I don't think Neil realizes it's a mistake to go into an old genre like that,
and that you, by eliminating that genre, actually did the man a favor.

It's All About The NEW
It's All About The NOW

and think about it, Neil,

if you put, say you do a great version of an old song, you do a cover...
besides having to pay for it if you do it proper, which Judos Kudos, you do
(I don't, never on a Sunday or any other bloody day, they should pay me)

and you have a 'oldies 50s and 60s' genre,
well then only people old as we are, are likely to even listen to it.

Wrong way to go, Amigo.

The thing to remember,
is it's all about the Record.

All it takes is one.
One record, gotten right.

Then everybody wants to hear every damned thing you've ever done.

Scott, you made my day, and ironically now, because of the day it is,
the very year behind me, with quite some ups and downs indeed in it.

But I want to underscore, these points.

1. Discourse, Discussion, doesn't run us down, we are not benefited by
avoiding conversation, we simply become reacquainted with what
our shoes look like if we avoid talking to each other. We're big Music People,
we can stand a bit of back and forth about it, do you not think so?

See, I don't just listen to what someone says, but how they say it,
because that tells more than half the story really.

2. Genres are bullshit, don't get hung up on them.
Least of all here. At some dipshit (my opinion) operation like SoundDick
(my tweaky cheeky rename, again, my opinion) you have to keep
to the genres or they throw you out the airlock, doesn't even matter
if you managed getting your pants on. Whoosh, out ya go.
That's why, the other guys Suck Dogs, And IMP RAWKS.
Running the site down? Heck, I'm here to Deliver Us ALL To The Promised Land.

3. Jill, this last one has buzzed me to perfection of distraction,

and I dare say, what ails you can only be cured by me.
And, this, too, shall hit a bouncy walk away. I know this.
The real thing scares you. I know that too.

That said, I repeat what I said, Love.
I DARE You Jill With Jaws and I can only Imagine The Claws,
to make a proper record with me,
and we think about it, talk about it, work with it,
perfect the flibbedy gibbedy thing until it is,

it.

You know 'it'?

Do you Jill Esquire?

If you put half into your music, what you put into your jabber, forget it.

The world would see

a new Jilly girl....

wake up Jilly girl....

come out Jilly girl....

I'm the most amazing being on the planet.
I can be Supergirl. I can be Superman.
I can be Fat Guy Makes A Ham Sammich Disappear.

AND I can craft a good record.

It's all about the magic of collaboration.

That's what made The BEATLES.

Is NO ONE, At All,

Game To Climb The Fucking Mountain With Me?

Well then if you are,
I'm not only the biggest bitch,

I'm also the person having the most fun. Haha, I win.

Happy New Year.

Scott, seriously, I love the sideboards offa you for this one,

nicest damned thing you ever said to me.

I'm Superbitch.

Okay, now off to the studio with all this rampant creative energy.

Scott, you got nothing to worry about,

You don't either Neil,

CEO and Main Founder,

of what will turn out to be,

Ground ZERO Of The INDIE INVASION.

It is Happening. And It is Happening, HERE.

MMm MM.

Come here, my little one.

My poor frightened little one, come here.

I love you all.

I did, and then I died.

And now I love you all twice as much.

Well immediately, I became ten times smarter.

Yes, following dying and coming back.

Well it gives you a bit of perspective doesn't it. Trust me Children, it does.

Jill.

Come out come out----oh right,

that just makes her run away does it... okay forget it.

Till you can't,

then write me here, Darling,

LARREE!!!

Oh I love you too, don't you know it.
You are another one, a true artist, more than you even seem to know.
Another one who should make records with me and does not. Oh well. That's okay.

Actually, I don't think it has hurt the Pipeline at all,
for it not to be posted on the front page as a roster,
but as a link, still very visible on the front page, there it is, clickety click, said I.
And I ended up here.

Ideally, we can argue the merit of different approaches,

attention should be paid, to the artist experience,
and to the listener experience, both matter, both are essential,

the pipeline is actually still secondary to music,
much as some of you prefer to talk,
and if that is the case, they even have a style of music out there now
and for quite some time really, involving, just blokes and lasses
who prefer to talk, albeit with a beat. And we can point to genres,

but I still think, it's about 'does your thing connect with everyone or anyone else'.

If it ain't got that, what has it got?

Larree, you should make a record with me,
because, we'd make one that is insanely good,

and then you'd remember how much you love making records.

That's the main thing, here, it's nice to have the pipeline to chat
amongst ourselves... and people still come here, the link is
right on the front page with a big WAVE Thingy Logo Thing. You can't miss it.

The MUSIC, Is The Point though.

Let's Make Some!

And if, (does it ever shut up??)

and if, this is an argument which need be covered,

I have to say,
I see more variance of genre listing, here,
as anywhere I've ever seen genres listed anywhere ever.

And really, considering he is a main founder of the place,
probably would have been easier to pick up a phone
call you up, and say 'make that genre come back, now please.'

Well that should have been alright, especially if he was a gentleman
and said please.

But it's okay...

There, that's for your efforts posting this in the first place.

Bluto, I WISH You had a physical body. I really do.

And would step in a ring with me.

Ohhhh... Boy do I ever.

But you're not real. You're a guy who makes me look sane,
which, really is something, I shouldn't sell it short.

Bluto, you're a novice.

You really are.

This Kara idiot annoys me way more than you do.

And probably, because it's all the same bag of arse yammering.

And that, is the epiphany.

This is what you choose to be.
And
This is what you got.

And excellent screwball, and so so at other stuff.

Yeah I'm a better bitch maybe....
but you're a better nut, let's hand you the crown there, sport.

Edit away...

you still can't beat me in a fight. And you never will.

Which is worse Lesley, a truthful observation that the recipient might see as an insult

or

constant abusive sarcasm slipped in between the lines, which is more your modus operandi, and I can spell that too.

Where I live upper case writing is not considered rude or insulting.

Jill, I further my point.

You had a point to make,
you did not however choose delivery with kindness.
Instead with overhanded ALL CAPS which many people,
who may not care where you are from, consider shouting.
The point isn't the shouting. It's the lack of kindness.

So, I over compensated with kindness,
to make up for your lack of it.
Which you called being a Sycophant.
But I am an Elephant, and yes, I more or less never forget.
Can't seem to remember what at the moment.
I try to remember the point. Which is making records.

And really, the guy who founded IMP
should not, have to even ask twice,
for the genre he wishes to see, being here.

He shouldn't.

All to it.

If I owned the place, you think I would not get my way?
I'd get my way, or heads would fly from cannons. I assure you.

You side-step the main question from me, and I get the answer, no.

You're scared to make a record with me.
As for why, I don't care.

Interesting, Lesley. you come on here declaring your love for everyone and their cousin, how do you get off calling anyone lonely? You're the lonliest female impersonator on earth.

Of course you wouldn't, Lesley, you tried to boss me around when you made a donation, your nature is to be bossy and pushy. and Neil did write me first about that genre thing, it was only when I told him that this genre was taken away that he decided he needed to raise the topic on the pipeline.

You, Kara.

Congratulations.

You, are the loneliest person here, clearly.

Poor boy.
I assure you, I impersonate nothing. I don't have to.
So how much of a likeness to this picture are you,
I mean, once we drop a hundred pounds and shave the beard.

?

And this,

this is what you do.

And I've played this game too many times.

This is why I need to do less on the pipeline,
and more in the studio.

Because on the pipeline,
a big fat dope with more personality disorder than I can ever hope to attain,
engages me in contest of folly, as if he has any idea what being a woman is...

and in the studio,
I dust the idiot, and even he knows it.

So....

Up Up And AWAY....

Happy New Year,

I don't like phonies.
Kara, you're a phony.

I don't care what you say about me.
You're not you. I am me. I win. And you think you win because
your picture of a girl who is not you, moves. Wow.

Yeah my nature is to get what I pay for, so at least now, it's about even.

But I put life in the place, there is that to be said for me, even if I am poor.
And still have over a couple times given you about a hundred dollars,
even if not sent to you directly as you were not that brave. Like I can be bothered.

Okay, me and this person whomever it is, agree on something actually.

I concur. I apologize for my hand in name calling,
that business gets out of hand so very quickly.
It's easy to start, and difficult to curtail.

As for who the person behind the Kara poster is,
now signing it as Melissa B, no less,

I doubt you are Melissa Benoist.
But if you are, you are an actress who portrays a superheroine.

And, okay, perhaps my mistake, is ever talking about it.

Because the most super people, simply do it.
And leave others to talk about it.

So, this, is what I have learned today.

Less Talking.
More Doing.

And everything else, is poppycock.

And Neil W Young,

You are, In fact,
One Of The All Time Greats, I think so,
I think I'm one, but it's the same for you as it is for me, mate,

we're best off just shutting up and doing it. Be what we are.

By doing it.

Did I mention, this is the favoritest picture of you yet?

Well it's mine anyway, you may change it again.

Some of you, are just bloody fantastic,

and all who try to be,
including me,

should just shut up and get on with it.

And, I'm also done with conducting an argument
with people who I feel are misrepresenting themselves.

Probably SHOULD avoid the Pipeline.
In my case anyway.

Lot of people, creative people, pissing away their energy on
this dumb board, and it is used pretty stupidly when we all get into this shite.

I won't keep making this mistake.

I can focus on recording, I can, I should, so I will.

Well I had intended late last evening that today I would let Jilli Anne (Jaws Truly) know that her initial comments, including those edited, had been duly noted solely for what they were – disparaging and condescending, and put this behind me as an unfortunate end to 2016.

I would like to add though in regard to Scott’s latest remarks regarding the site, that in 2013 I did encourage him to come back to the website (IAC at the time) following his departure a few years earlier for reasons known to him.

After some correspondence over several months, he agreed to become re-involved and suggested that we consider undertaking a relaunch of the site with a new name – IndieMusicPeople.com (IMP). After a very long process of going through all the machinations to effect the relaunch that Scott worked tirelessly and diligently on putting into place, the relaunch occurred in May of last year.

It has been a shaky re-start to say the least, although I consider it fortunate that the site has managed to survive – if only barely.

As for the topic of the thread, the underlying reason for it resulted from my having discovered that while it was – and still is, listed in the somewhat intimidating list of available genres under the Find Music tab on the front page that it was not an available choice. I recommend that the Genre Map be revised accordingly by removing it from the list.

By the way, thank you Lesley/Beatlesex for your many kind words of support. This being my thread, I can say that without incurring wrath, although in life, there are no guarantees.

On a closing note, I will remove the thread as the day and year draws to a close.

Happy New Year.

One of the most lucid posts by anyone, ever.

I do hope you will become more visible Mr W Young.

You're the only one here seems to be the straight shooter
I am and always mistakenly assume everyone else to be.

And yes if genres are listed anywhere, they should be available, damn straight.

It is a shame, that Neil W Young, and Scott CEO, can't seem to work together
a bit better, because Neil should not have had to 'take it to the street' here,

that was 'cause Scott stonewalled him.

The owner, and he does that, why do you do that?

What does that do for you? Why not just give the owner the genre he wants?

Why even dispute it?

These are questions I wonder,
may not get the answer to,
especially since this thread disappears as of the stroke of New Year.

Yes, I agree, Neil.

Jill was being mean to you, in my view, so it's not just you who sees that.
She will call me saying that being a sycophant,
but she doesn't get me at all, I am much too personally important to myself,
to be a sycophant, ever, to anyone. I do like having super friends though,
being super myself. How super am I, ah, if that is not the Big One.
I must find out. This, I can tell you.

Good Day. Good Year.

Regards To All.

HELLO 2017.

I'm looking forward to the future,
since nothing in the past has been yet the 'be all and end all'.

Jill was right on with everything she said. If Neil had written back and made an ultimatum to me in our email exchange (he conveyed no semblance of the idea over emails that this was so utterly important to him), I probably would've looked into reviving the genre though it makes my job more unpleasant when shareholders ask for special favors.

but him taking it to the street may lead to the end of this site, watch out what you wish for there. I know you're really busy suckling but try to see the big picture even in regards to yourself.

PS,

that is interesting,
I had to ponder it...

you're a smart guy.
And I'm like a black sheep or somethin'.

Well you wouldn't expect anyone to give you flack, Neil,
because I, Lesley, gave you words of friendship and positive affirmation
of artistic quality and value, because I feel it takes one to know one,

but, there are those who try,
and there are those who try being trying to the tryers because
they feel it easier than trying themselves...

Here's To Doing It.
Here's To Bringing It.

Yackety Yack, stay where ya belong,

Look Scott. Just 'cause I liked you, and may have sucked on you,
does not mean I do that with everybody,
I thought you were special. Thought, being the operative word.

Now, end of the site, why.
Why exactly.

Now you'll do an ultimatum?
Well wouldn't that be the ultimate of lame-outs,
and why shouldn't he 'take it to the streets'
since he apparently is the reason there are streets for us to drag race on.

I'm not suckling, you idiot,
I'm trying to do positive reinforcement, where I can.

And really, I should shut up, and make records,
the ones I wanna. Whether anyone likes 'em or not.

Even if the site die go kaput,

if that, was because Neil spoke his mind,
and all 'cause you brickwalled him,

oh well, so be it.

You have to believe, in the whole thing.

I'm beginning to think, you just hate it.

Maybe someone should make me the bloody CEO if you're so sick of it.

Not that I want that job.
I can't handle jobs.

I create, it's what I do.

But if you can't hack it,
perhaps they should find someone who actually wants to do that.

Jill was right on?
Jill was a condescending bitch, as usual.
And bitch though I may be,
I don't even wanna get that condescending,
even if all the points of argument on my side.

She could have said it far less pointed than she did.

Even if it was a frustration on her part,
boom, then she transmits that, to him,

that accomplishes, what exactly?

He did a Lesley.

I do Lesleys all the time.

You still seem to put up with me to a point anyway.

I say, this place has potential,

but if we're going to let bullshit destroy it,

well no, we must not do that.

Neil, if Scott does not wish to be CEO,
then you and I should talk about me taking it on.

I cannot let this place die.
I have to try.

That is all there is to it.
