LEGENDARY MUSIC "SHOUT" TAGBOARD
I am greatly dismayed and saddened by the loss of most of the comments that had previously been placed on the "SHOUT" tagboard of LEGENDARY MUSIC by artists whose songs I have reviewed and added to my station.
When I inquired at IAC Support as to what had happened to cause these very special and wonderful comments to "disappear", I was advised that they were "wiped out" by a programmer error while working on a "new administration area". I guess I should have felt some consolation from the additional explanation provided to me that in the meantime a way had been found "to prevent bot spam on the station tagboards." Needless to say, at the moment I feel the greater danger may be programmers, although on the other hand I should bear some responsibility as it could also be a direct result of my own complacency going day to day blindly believing that all is well.
With the benefit of hindsight, perhaps we should all make it a practice to periodically copy, paste and save whatever information may be on our various pages here at IAC that we do not wish to risk losing.
I appreciate all the steps and efforts taking by IAC to improve this great web site that provides such an amazing opportunity for independent artists to showcase their talents and music to the world.
With regard to the unfortunate loss of those very special comments on my station's tagboard, I can only offer my apologies on behalf of IAC to those artists whose comments are now history. I wish now that I had taken the steps that I mention above. Experience is a wonderful thing - the only problem is that we most often get it after we need it.
Sincerely,
Neil w Young
