So there I was ... laying in egg whites and aloe when
I realized my period had come early. I wish I'd
realized this before masturbating but never mind, I
can always wash the sheets. I clawed my way with my
bloodied hands to the computer to check my mail
account in hopes of hearing from one of my several
illegitimate children I've unsuccessfully adopted over
the past decade and have strewn about the globe but
mostly reside in the Philippines so I can put them to
work towards their already bleak future, but alas,
nothing. I guess they weren't too pleased with the
box of graham crackers I'd sent them and the leftover
fruitcake. I then sent a nasty letter to an overly zealous animal
rights activist who dared to ask me for donations for
someones homeless kitten that had recently contracted
a rare cuticle infection from a verbally abusive
owner that provided the kitten with filthy bits of
yarn he'd neglected in the back of an outhouse for
years and so this particular kitten was now in fear of
becoming claw-less. I personally saw that as a plus
and told them to market that kitten to someone with
very nice furniture. They didn't take too kindly to
my response. I then proceeded to wipe down the keys
with a lovely scented baby wipe I neurotically carry
round with me in my bag though I rather like the red
glints of stained fingerprints chaotically decorating
the disheveled keys. Then on to the shower whereas I
had slipped thus bashing my head against the shower
curtain leaving a stain from my vomit colored hair
conditioner that gives me that illustrious shine I've
so become accustomed to but tire of the tedious and
quite disgusting processes in maintaining such locks.
I will jump ahead to the present moment and spare
myself and perhaps you the rest of my grooming
malaise, but suffice it to say, I smell wonderful and
think I'm sporting a rather voluminous glow, but that
could change as soon as I wash this spunk off my
face... moving on ...
I skipped over a few things.
Anyway, I then sign on to the one and only IAC to do
a bit of reading and listening whilst I paint my
piggies pink, and lo and behold... what do mine eyes
see ... but me all blown up bigger than the usual size
of a mouse's head or perhaps a hearty hamster and there I am
in all my cell phone kissing glory ! Then it hit me,
what was I thinking when I uploaded that ridiculous
photo when I have one of me actually french kissing a
real telephone that would have been much more
appropriate for the occasion. Oh well I say to myself
and whomever might have read this far... live and
learn ... and of course, thank you.
Oh, and Phlegm, gracious of you to draw even further
attention to the wonderfulness of myself. I wish you
a great and prosperous sex life with a little
perversion on the side... but in the nicest possible
way, of course, and remember, always start clean !

Anyway I remember when I first heard Gaslight District, I said they definitely don't sound like any band I've ever heard before. That's a rare thing, for sure.

Great to see Anjuli on the front page. Just wondering Anjuli if you have an Indian connection as Dirge was brought up in a predominately Asian area of London and hence spoke some Hindi and Punjabi and sometimes included bits in her songs. I wonder if you could translate the bit about onion bhaji's on the Airwave Excorieeee broadcast.

AS FT said-NO ONE sounds like Gaslight District-they've got a load of fabulous tracks and a totally distinct sound

Thanks Great Indoors, I wanted to thank everyone but thought I ought leave it be since the picture is gone and it might seem (at this point) a bit sad & grasping but since you've buttered it up front here again anyway I will now take the opportunity...

May I contribute to the "I luv Gaslight" thread? I do apologize for the noise, but I must admit to have been listening to the GD downloads I scored, late at night...The GD was one of the first bands I heard when I arrived here, and since that moment have remained one of my very toppermost of the poppermost faves...I never have known any other band that could take blue light and make it sound so red...
