I'd contribute something here, but I'm terrible at ranking. Here Comes The Sun is one of my faves too, though...

Something Old:
Steve Howe - Mood For A Day and The Clap (geez, I think the first one is Mood For a Day - it's been sooooo long since I listened).
Segovia - You name it, though I think my fave of his is usually Bach
Paul McC/Beatles - Mother Nature's Son - LOVE the way the guitar harmonizes with the vocal throughout the tune. And come on, let's not forget Blackbird and Yesterday. Masterful.
Something New:
Trolleyvox - Andrew Chalfen did a masterful job of coming up with creative acoustic lines for their new 2-cd set - one CD is acoustic w/vocal, one is full-band electric. It's a bargain, priced as though it's one CD and they've started a page here (I bought the CDs at a gig recently - highly recommended).
V-Frequency - Vartan came up with a nice acoustic piece for Verity's latest "1-minute Challenge" - visit V-Freq here at IAC...tell 'em Hugo sentchuz...
The Village Jammers - have been enjoying this IAC band's acoustic album very much for a few months now...
Something In-Between:
Geez, on McCartney Unplugged (circa mid-'90s I believe) there's a wonderful version of "And I Love Her" - I believe the solo is played by Hamish Stewart (working from memory, be kind if I'm wrong) and I like it just as much as George's original...well, almost...

Night moves - Bob Seger
Space oddity - David Bowie
Nebraska - Bruce Springsteen
(And again) Wish you were here - Pink Floyd.
Those are my four favourite acoustic guitar parts.
All very simple, but all great in their own way.

Come on… you guys are all stuck in the 70’s, and very few of those people are pushing the thing possible on a guitar. First off, I didn’t see any reference to unplugged Clapton, and everybody seems to forget Bruce Cockburn.
Now if you want to hear really spectacular guitar work, get on Google and look for people like Michael Hedges, Don Ross, Any McKee, Erik Mongrain, Don Alder, Pete Huttlinger, Dylan Fowler, Pierre Bensusan, just to give you a starting list. Then there are the classic players who were so far ahead of the crowd that they hardly got airplay but pushed guitar players to go farther, people like John McLaughlin, Pat Matheny, Al Di meola, and a host of Jazz and Blues players.
See ya'

You're stuck in the zeroes, and Clapton was washed up when he did Unplugged. :~D

Wow some great additions here... I forgot all about Steve Howe/Mood for a Day. thought about Blackbird which is an all time great, but failed to mention James Taylor's stuff myself. Has anyone heard Taylor and Knofler's Sailing to Philadelphia? Great tune. And here's a completely unexpected one.. how about Charo.. she does play one amazing Spanish guitar.
There are LOTS of players on IAC I didn't even go into.. Gary Stockton and Larree for two...

Todd HOP - you did it again! There's always 1 in your list I connect with (ok, it's usually Eno or XTC)
Yacht Dance!
Andy Warhol by David Bowie
Dozens of Jethro Tull songs. Tough to pick... Salamander!
As for being stuck in the '70's, yes, I am.
