Across the Universe
Anyone seen this? A movie set to Beatles Music. All the Character names are Beatle inspired as well. I head some of the Songs Covered, Quite good! A tribute to the Originals. It's Good to be a Beatles Fan!!! I know Hugh appreciates this as well! eh Hugh? :)

We certainly have a lot of Beatles fans at IAC it would be interesting to do a head count sometime. We have three here for starters :) I should start a battle of the fans blog perhaps?

Don't know how I missed THIS blog, Jeff (lol)...in fact when I was out looking for a Valentine I wound up buying the DVD for this movie...hate to say it, but I couldn't watch more than the first half hour or so. Part of the problem may be that I went to Princeton (I had no idea part of the movie was filmed there) and I really got freaked out when the Liverpool dude entered campus...I may try to watch the rest, but the whole basic idea of paying tribute to John through featuring his songs in a movie is a bit creepy to me - I had kind of the same reaction as if a Beatle or Lennon song were used in an ad...somehow...not for me...sorry!
Spent the last few mornings cranking up my amp and blasting some guitar - playing lots of slide, searching for Allman Bros. tone...kind of...have been using a neat trick I learned with my '70s Fender Vibrolux Reverb...you can plug into input 1 of the clean channel, then run a signal out of input 2 and into the reverb/trem channel...gets extra crunchy that way - I'm LOVIN' the amp - had it recapped and also retubed it last year - it's way cool now - I need to get recording...which means I must WRITE...WRITE...WRITE...
Rock on!!
:)

Sounds good. As I always say, the Beatles are the best that ever was and the best that ever will be. I wrote a song about that topic, actually.

My niece saw the movie, after being exposed to the infectious melodies she is now a new Beatles fan. She came to visit a few weeks back and was wearing a Beatles Let It Be Shirt, I have to give props to the movie for doing that!
