You gotta hear Ray's interview with IAC artist Richard Scotti...
Clever overdubbing by Ray Porter added to the entertaining and thoughtful comments by Richard Scotti make this interview mandatory listening for all IAC enthusiasts! You'll really enjoy this one. Well done guys! Loved it!!

VERY well put together, the both of you. I have thoroughly enjoyed these interviews!!! Ray, I hope you keep doing this with not only the "known" artists here, but some new ones that catch your ear. Maybe you can do a "new" artists interview station where we can catch some new artist we all may have missed since you are so adept at finding new talent on this site...I should have my intervew to you Friday.

Yeh..I really enjoyed the interview with Richard too-..Always interesting to put voices to faces here!
Was really interesting hearing your interview too Terry and your background/story...
I'm really enjoying this series-a really good idea..
Rays got a fine dry sense of humour-and his little added bits after the fact really add to the experience..
I had to remind myself that it wasn't all live so convincing does he make the illusion!

thanks steve and slimdog.
you know we wrapped that up in three hours last night of some frantic recording and editing on my part. hence no blog yet and cus i'm away for the weekend richard will be here to talk about it.
ye it was great fun and i just love richards voice and his sincerity and i tried to lighten it with a bit of humour while maintaing my total respect for richard.
i think i got the balance right. I got quite a backlog now but Dick Avens interview should be out on Sunday. Once i get caught up i'd love to interview you steve. I'm now away for 2 days so bye all and richard will be here later on to talk on this blog and to maybe start his own.

Thanks Ray and Richard....
Richard, I am very sorry to hear about your Brothers passing, I am sure he is very proud and jamming away in heaven.
Nice to hear the actual voices, peoples characters are internalized based on words on the screen. I did not know you had an accent Ray :)
What is the process for the interview? do you provide the questions, and the answers are sent back as wav files that you then mix???
Thanks, and keep up the good work, it s very beneficial and interesting.
Regards,
Jeff

Incidentally, The interview with Richard is particularly deep AND fun. Especially considering the special guest appearance. Kudos!

I loved the interview too. But while HUGH sounded like I pictured him sounding, I was WAY OFF with Richard Scotti ! Funny guy! I loved hearin' him & ray & YES -- the tricks ray did created a LIVE interview effect, hmmm.... I'll have to suggest he do that with MY mp3 !!!
Nice Work Guys!

hi jeff
what i do is send a rough audio of file of me asking the questions. the artist then records there answers propery on a new file and send them back to me. i then properly record my questions so as i can at the same time refer to the answers they gave me to the previous question.
simple but it seems very effective when some thought is given.
i just popped in for a moment so i'll talk to you all on sunday

Thanks for the positive comments Slimdog but I don't consider myself a "known" artist. I've only be on this site for two months so I think that still qualifies me as a newbie. If I was known I'd have a hell of lot more comments, radio stations, and song plays. Others have been here for years. I think someone who has been here a week or two would be considered "new". I'm looking forward to seeing your interview. It's a lot of work but it's fun. I'd like to see interviews of some of the women like Jo Ellen, Beth, Ti and Lace.

Richard, I consider you "known" because of the participation you have and what you have contributed to this site. To me, it's not about how many stations you are on or plays. I was thinking about the same thing you were about hearing some of the female artists here soon...

Slimdog- I've only started to getting noticed very recently. For a very long time I was virtually ignored. I thought I had turned invisible but I'm not complaining. I look it at it as a rite of passage. It takes a while for people to warm up to any newbie so I don't take it personally. Then the site went down for a long time and that didn't help anybody get to know anybody else, so it's only since the site has been up that I started to get "known". Before that I spent over a month not getting a single response
to any thread I tried to start. I felt like I didn't exist. I guess I just had to work harder to connect with folks since then so I take full responsibility for my failure to present myself to the IAC. Now let's get some women up in here to be interviewed. We don't want to be accused of being an "all boys club".
Have a great interview, Slim.

hey richard in part it is about quantity of people but the quality is also important.
there may be some people like "fly on the wall" who want to open a debate about "my space" but the most of us want to talk about iac artists.

Richard, Don't get so heated about fly... he's just blowin' off steam too.... like all of us do at times.... Keep doin' your thang. YOU ROCK!
FLY- You know I love you man. Deeply. I want to have your babies. soon.
Slimdog -- You are AWESOME! Another one of those prolific & Active with promoting others music too.... It's quite clear that's why you're experiencing some success! Keep doin' it MAN!
Ray - Ditto to you! You are TOP Station Manager for a reason! You actually CARE about promoting ALL artists with some passion & skill in their craft! and I'm with SLIMDog and others, Interview Phlegm of Conversation Suicide of course
--=: 0 but then it's time for some female artists!
And please let everybody understand, I'm quite like Slim in that I use MYSPACE as a platform FOR IACMUSIC! -We don't even have the myspace player up in there --JUST the KIAC one! I highly recommend it as a way to bring people HERE!

Wise words as always by phlegm
I got in late lastnight from being away for the weekend and just was a little sad to see that there was this talk about "my space" which should be on a seperate blog.
Ofcourse this isn't my blog so i've no right to say who says what. I hate getting dragged into "my space" conversations because to me the site is meaningless comparred to the iac but the site is usefull and is being used by alot of bands who are not on the iac as a reference point for the listener to hear their music for the first time. If there are people who hate "my space" then i think they should turn that negativity into reaching out to these bands and telling them about the iac. Today is a new day and i'm working on my "dick aven" interview so peace and love to all who posted here including "fly on the wall". Free speach is the cornerstone of democracy and everyones opion is important.
