The Goddess-like Talent of Woodstock Taylor
Woodstock Taylor is a fab artist with a witty, literate lyrical brain and an ear for a magical melody..
Her love of showtunes,The Kinks and Kirsty MacColl comes thru but she's such a distinct artist in her own right
She's got at least 4 bona-fide classics on her page imho Beautiful Afternoon,England,Emotional At Airports and Swimming With Sharks..All her other songs are good tho too-and she's even made up a great Christmas tune at the bottom of her page!

My musical life changed when I met Woody...she and I had adjacent songs on a podcast (www.homemadehitshow.com if you're interested) and hearing her xmas song was the first time in my life I said "Wow! That chick sounds like LENNON!" I love that song...and then she pointed someone in my direction who led me to IAC...rockin'! I try to reserve the "g" word for truly special and unique people, and Woody is one of them - that would be GENIUS.

We heard her songs at Garageband some years ago and loved what she does - great work!

Ah Woody, a natural and a great attitude to music and life...I remember playing one of her songs once and my son came in because he thought it was me singing a new song, that was such a compliment but I definitely think she influenced me...and I would be happy to be half as talented - Soo

Listened to her entire page today and had a great time doing so.
"Red Wine and Cigarettes" is the final song on my new Good Stuff station... kinda reminds me of the Velvet Underground's "After Hours", in feel. Sorta has to be the last song...

I found this place because Woodstock had a mention of IAC on her myspace page. That myspace page was a regular stop for me, until I realized that more of her stuff was here.
Your enthusiasm is justified, for sure.
