The Peoples Choice!
Have just started a new station called The Peoples Choice! where people get to select their own favourite tracks by OTHER artists..
I know this is hardly a new idea..The much missed Brian Booth did something similar=and i know there's prob a load of others out there with a similar theme..
Still you can't get too much of a good thing i say!
And its always great for the artists themselves to get a big up..
So if there's any wonderful songs from artists here that have totally inspired you in the past(or just your favourite song of the moment like me) just say what song-who its by in this post with any comments you want to put in..
cheers:)

Eeeeasy!!....
....Christina Nicola: "Livin'so Much Better". She's now # 45 in KIAC Big 50 but I 'discovered' her before she came on IAC. Truly great soul sound and an excellent example of 'less is more'. She does her own production too.

I have to giggle - it was my FIRST station idea here - I started out by listening to every song an artist had posted and posting my favorite - or posting NONE.
Whoa - Tough Guy!

In fact, I'm reminded that I BROKE MY OWN RULE to post TWO of your songs on that early version of Hugo's Hits - because I couldn't decide which was my favorite - hmm...thinking..."I Know A Good Thing"...or...(drum-roll please)...the secret agent one...dang, just visited your page and it's NOT THERE! In the end, "I Know A Good Thing" won out...
BWAH!

I can't go past "Hey Ho" by the Jack Paddle Cover Band.
This tune stays in my head...........a lot.
Something about subliminal messages I think my shrink said...or was that Jack....I dunno, anyway if you haven't heard it check it out.
Cheers Mark

I'm choosing Ying Yang by Tokyo Penguin because I didn't want to pick a song that I've previously taken from one of your stations, Steve. (I was going to choose Tony Manero by Soo, but remembered you added it somewhere.) Emile loves this song and we often play it during our afternoon living room dance parties.

Steve....The song that stops me in my tracks like a rabbit in healights is Day Trip by Ainslie Henderson but I'm sure you will already have discovered it or Dust.
Eliz...while you're here and saying nice things about me :) I really, really want to write a song especially for your lovely little boy...I like what I know of him so far and he deserves something personal for being such a good fan :)

I'll try to pick a couple of the songs that don't get a whole lotta mention around these parts:
One of my favorite songs since the Garageband days:
Invisible Inc. - "Sun Today"
And, I think that I remember you having a fondness for it, too.
http://www.iacmusic.com/invisibleinc
Another one:
Ricky Lee - "Every Time I Give the Devil a Ride"
It's very country. Probably because it's a country song. But you tell me that band doesn't kick some serious butt, and I'll check you in to Belleville, myself!

I was looking for a Hugo song to suggest, too. But I figured that there'd be plenty o' others doin' the nominating for Hugotunage.
Good pick though, Titania.

Hi Steve,
we'd like to nominate Pinedog's 'White Buffalo', it's a beautiful spiritual journey of a song & he'd be thrilled to be part of the people's choice station :)

Vincenzo Aridilio - "Confirm My Suspicions"
http://iacmusic.com/songs.aspx?SongID=27112&ArtistID=24546
This song was one of the first that I added to my first station ("The Good Stuff") and it still gets me up off my chair. Just... plain... um....
JUST DANCE! DANCE! DANCE! DANCE!!!

Very difficult to choose as there are so many great songs, but I love acoustic instrumentals especially Lawrence Blatt "Walking Alone"
http://iacmusic.com/artist.aspx?id=86639
also The Rivergods 'Buddha on the Road'
http://iacmusic.com/artist.aspx?ID=81038
and of course Steve Ison 'Girl on the Train'

I don't beilive that I've seen anyone choose my favorite Steve Ison song:
"If I Met You".
The melody is indelible and the arrangement is perfection. Period.
