The Great Indoors-ARTIST OF THE DAY!
Well done to Brendan of The Great Indoors-and good on IAC for making them artists of the day!
Very well deserved..
They create beautifully written very individual strange folk/pop songs with interesting n creative chord changes, great lyrics and a really distinct feel n vibe that's all their own..
So many really excellent songs on their page and really worth checking out imho for anyone who hasn't yet..:)

In addition to his musical talents and handsome appearance I recently became aware of Brendan's firm grasp of Latin...most definitely Artiste du Jour material, on multiple levels...

If that should read "Artist du Jour" please forgive me...ancient force-fed Francais has seemingly evaporated...

Steve: Thanks for your support and your appreciation of our music and for drawing attention to it on here in the various ways that you do...you are not only a fine songwriter but a very generous and honest supporter of artists on this site...
Eliz: a big thanks to you as well, you have supported us from practically day one and to be featured on your station "Slow Commotion" is a great honor as in my humble opinion it's probably one of the best on here, with many great artists that sometimes get overlooked ...but it's hardly surprising as there are so many good ones on this site..... just have to do a bit of digging around !.....
Paul : you are a fine gentleman and a sonic music meister in your own right and it was indeed a pleasure to have you in the audience at one of our shows and also a great honor to collaborate with you and Anjuli on your track "Pearls & Tales"...let's hope there are many more to come....
Hugh: just to let you know that the handsome chap featured on the front page is our violin/piano player Alex....I am the bald headed guy with the lugibrious profile and i think the IAC people must have thought very wisely in my opinion to choose the most obviously handsome chap [after all they don't want to frighten folk of the front page"]...not that i'm envious...you understand ?!....
anyway you Hugh...thanks for your support....btw my latin is pretty awful but your mention of it reminds me of a very funny line by Peter Cooke, he once said something along the lines..."I wanted to be a judge but i didn't have the Latin"....anyway,it made me laugh...ha ha ha tee hee hee...

Laughicus Mondo? I'm still laughing over your contribution to my sausage and spam thread...or was it spam and sausage? It's history now, that thread was of a Fleeticus Evaporatus nature...lol...you made me laugh, so we're even...hope it's clear I'm sincere in my admiration of The Great Indoors...even if I say it in silly ways...

Hugh...this is also a priceless bit of Latin below...just in case we get a bit carried away with each others genius from time to time.....whoops !...did i say genius...I do love me..i do i do i do.....
Asinus asinum fricat. The ass rubs the ass (used to describe two people lavishing excessive praise on one another).
btw: i thought your spam & sausages blog was criminally overlooked...i am thinking about starting up a "cheesy peas" blog in it's honor...still thinking..stiiiiillll thiiiinnnkiiing ..stiiiiiiiiiillllllllllllllllllllllllllll thinkkkkkkkkkkkinnnnnnnnnnnnnng....
see you soon big fella......

You can dress up the artist of the day but you still can't present him to Companus Politicus...lol...that quote stinks! LOL!

Hugh...my good friend..that was indeed very succinct and profound and hard to follow up but below i feel will be something very close to the truth of our indulgence and very enjoyable discourse on this thread....
Di! Ecce hora! Uxor mea me necabit!......God, look at the time! My wife will kill me

hahah - I've got one for you, but it comes with a story that is unsuitable for public discourse...one of us will have to leap the pond for that one...
