I would say that all the Police is pretty qual.
Especially when compared to Sting solo.
But, more to the point... thanks!

They wore that badge of honour with pride and integrity and they did their best to keep the streets and charts clean in their prime and should have had the highest civic honours bestowed on them but, alas, they like many others were to be found at one time in the bargain bucket basement of many a charity hospice shop before the country came to their senses and with the onset of a revisionist mid to late 90's media taboggooning bandwagon were re-invented and hoisted back into the rock and roll hall of fame where they sit proudly amongst the grates of the 80's,Duran/Spandau and Dollar , never to be forgotten again .....
Thanks Steve for keeping the flame alive .....

"Roxanne" always reminds me of red hand...that's what I hear when the name is spoken...it may just be me...since I could never afford Roxanne, red hand was my second choice...not that it was a bad one.

I thought the "Quality Police" would be jerks like myself that ask touchy questions like "what are the best written songs at IAC?"

I caught a recent Kevin Kline stage version of "Cyrano" (sp?) a couple of nights ago and started wondering if Sting might have been thinking of that at least in part when he wrote ROXANNE...for the most part I never got into the Police, partly because I like singing along and I could never sing any of Sting's stuff (lol). I have the same problem with Stevie Winwood. I dunno how those fellers do it.

When I first heard it I thought he was singing "Rock Sand". An ode to gravel.
