CLOSE YO' MUTHA FUCKIN' EYES - er, that is the SONG made it onto Neil Young's LWW station!
This is a BIG thanks to folks like Richard Scotti & Hugh Hamilton who alerted me to this AWESOME Anti-war & Protest song site!
I thought we were being ignored, but BIG Al just informed me we're in there. Currently up under NEW listings!
This is fuckin' exciting, 'cause I've got TONS more I want to get out there, and I HAD to start with the one that had the most BLATANTLY offensive intro first to test the waters...
AND IT WORKED! Now I know that most of our other protest songs will probably be embraced.
IF YOU HAVEN'T checked out the BEST protest song WE'VE put up on iacmusic to date.... you really should. It's a hootenany of rock & roll fun with a message called:
CLOSE YO' Mutha Fuckin' Eyes < er, that was supposed to be a link. DOH !!
http://www.neilyoung.com/lwwtoday/lwwsongspage.html
< uh... that's supposed to be a link to this cool Anti-war Station...er..just cut & paste it dammit! >
Anyhoo.... THANKS Guys & Gals at IACMUSIC ! And thanks Big Al & Neil!

Thanks y'all. I've been recently reminded that IAC is mostly a bunch of artists patting each other on the back..... BUT it's STILL awesome to be ethereally communing with some of the few folks out there that have similiar passions... and sharing music with each other.
NOW it's time for me to leave the iac blogs like a good boy, and go where the demographic is highest for awhile to generate more fans/friends in the NON-musician world, On MYSPACE.
There I said it . THe EVIL MYSPACE. Sorry y'all, but it's STILL the networking tool that your biggest audience of music listeners out there are aware of. Honestly, many folks out there barely use the internet, and only know of MYSPACE.... Just put yer IAC Player for your original stuff on MYSPACE page & Kill two birds with one stone.
See y'all next time! -Phlegm of Conversation Suicide

I'm glad I could help, Phlegm. Congrats on making it to LWWT. But tell me that you are not leaving IAC altogether! Just out of curiosity, how do you put your KIAC player on Myspace?

Hey Phlegm, Thanks to your lighting a fire under my ass, I joined Myspace too.
IAC is still home base for me but it doesn't hurt to spread our music anywhere and everywhere that people can enjoy it. So far I've only downloaded 2 songs because I'm tired and need to beddy-bye. I'll upload the other 4 songs tomorrow. Thanks for the push Brother Phlegm!

Hey Phlegm, have you seen what Fly has said about us joining Myspace?
It's hilarious and stupid but there should be some restrictions on children posting on IAC under assumed names. Anybody that doesn't have the balls to post under their real identity does not belong here with serious artists. He (or "it") violates the spirit and perhaps even the bylaws of IAC and should be banned from the site (imo) It's one thing to post under an alias. It's another thing to engage in negative attacks under an alias. That's the kind of person who throws a rock at somebody and then hides behind his mommy's skirt because he can't really get involved in a fair fight with other adults. There's a reason why fly swatters were invented.

Richard, you are DEFINITELY cool in my book! MYSPACE is good for what it is. IACMUSIC is still the BEST there is for indie artists... But people shouldn't limit themselves, ONE fan off a FREE music distribution site makes a little time to throw your tuneage up there WORTH it!
BY THE way, The trick of imbedded KIAC player depends on the music distribution site. If you're OK at html mondo BASICS, then it's a breeze. PULL the imbeded code appropriately from your IAC page # (example, mine is 60701 er, or somethin...). Then generate the code with the KIAC EXPORT feature in the upper right had corner of your IACMUSIC screen. CUT & Paste it into the BEST feature of that site PROFILE, that is viewable by the public & allow HTML. FOR myspace it's ONLY the BIO that really makes sense. NOW --- FURTHER proof that IAC is My FAVORITE --- That will eliminate the HITS you were getting for the myspace player, but If you agree that IACMUSIC is the best, that SHOULDn't be an issue. Because that means your killin' two birds with one stone.
MYSPACE or whatever other INDIE site allows html for the KIAC Player are giving your LISTENERS the quality KIAC mp3s of your best stuff. AND if your PRIME like us, which I know you are Richard, you get to give the public ALL the material you have on IACMUSIC. Rest assured, they WILL click on the imbedded links & check out your IAC page and IACMUSIC in general too!
SO THERE ya go: A great way to promote on IAC, and continue to support IAC & promote IACMUSIC itself, while fiddlin' around with the MYRIAD of other little sites for indie music distribution of your beautiful works of ART. 'Course, MYSPACE isn't exactly little. IACMUSIC all the way, but DON'T limit yourself, get the word out about IACMUSIC by using KIAC Player on OTHER indie sites! Capeesh?

Thank you one and all on encouraging about the LWW site pickup; and thank you TOBY for finally killing that FLY / FLEM / SCOTTI horrible MYSPACE thread! YOOOWWTCH! It went through 3 blog posts & tons of artists!
Nice to hear people be so candid though!
ANYHOO... thanks to one and all who commented & I encourage My-T-Hi and anybody else who hasn't submitted a protest song to NEIL YOUNG's LWW Station... IF they'll take our offensive shite....THAN any protest song with something of a message should do well there!
NEVER been a better time for CHANGE than NOW.
I will say it again....when are in a period like the 60s with a VIETNAM -like war, and ARTISTS/Performers/ENtertainers have a VOICE like they've NEVER had.
PEOPLE are HUNGRY for REVOLUTION. And they need some BRAVE souls to get SUBVERSIVE in the one form of FREEDOM of speech that is HARDEST to silence.... the various aspects of The Arts.
