Hookay. Looks like our first Comedy genre tune is worthy of mention! Hugh himself & Jill (DirgeK's Mum) already are diggin' on it....
WOW. That made my day! DirgeK's Mum (she being the guilty party who had heard it before, and requested we put the song up HERE on IAC) really digs our LATEST add on IAC and amazingly, after only a few hours of being up, the talented Mr. Hamilton gave it acclaim as well! THANKS Hugh & Jill.... you guyz are freakin' AWESOME to care about this silly tune.
So, I thought I'd shoot out a quick promo for it, as it's our first offering in the COMEDY genre, and TWO people I TOTALLY dig already like it. But with the MANY talented folks up in that there song category, like Lyin' Dan, Jilly, Free Man Lee, Helmut Licht and SO many more, it'll be a tough cookie to crack.
For you true comedy afficianados who've listened to our music a bit though, I'm sure you've seen that COMEDY is laced throughout many of our tunes...even the darker/harder ones!
ANYWAY here's our NEW one up as of TODAY: PSYCHIC FRIEND

Psychic Friend - Turd Rock!
This sounds so mid 60's, ala Mersey Beat, Animals, Velvet Undergound!
Also shades of The Stranglers from the 70's, with the Johnny Rotten
vocals mixed up with some Joe Strummer! OwOwOW!!!
3rd Listen already!!! (Make that 4!)
ROCK ON>>>TUSCON ROCK!

Yup - I was digging that retro vibe as well - also in Larree's "rehearsal" tune...thought I'd stepped into a time machine earlier...

Yup Jill, educational, energetic, retro, & fun to boot! I guess it's really NOT our worst tune yet.
Hugh I'm diggin' that HUGH digs it.
Colin, it ALWAYZ means a lot when you dig it TOO! I mean shit Y'all are on my DAILY playlist right up there with greats like DirgeK, Papa George, Slimdog Productions Hip-HOp tuneage and Product Recall !!
Jill by the way wha's up with that OPT IN thingee.... we've got plenty of hits & tried it out, but there's nothing to indicate we paid the teeny little fee ($7.50 ONE time) and it's still asking us to OPT IN. SO in other words, we've chosen to OPT IN to IAC for very SMALL return on the "phans" of our streaming music & such, NOW - how do we know we're opted in and when's that huge 10 quid royality check comin'.../ fer each month from here out.... Uh... we DID it a week ago & DID get a confirmation that OUR payment was accepted & went through successfully.
ANd that was my LAST $7.50 I can't even afford to fill the peace pipe right now DAMMIT!
OOPS _- Toby please don't say I can't talk about this here, shouldn't the people who wanna try out this feature have a right to know?

Phlegm - look at View Plays by Month, that will tell you how many plays and what they earnt. I think plays for January will be paid to your artist account on 15th Feb. The link asking you to opt in will still remain. With so many songs up you should soon be a millionaire !

heh.. yeah right. I should be so lucky! Isn't it only like .0000017 cents per tune streamed, and ONLY when a listener actually plays over 60% of the song? BUT, yeah, I may actually make a little bit of mulah for my passion: MUSIC!
Anyhoo. I appreciate the info. Jill -- and the encouragement to OPT IN! I'll contact IACSupport like I said, with further questions.
AND you are AWESOME for being so supportive, once again! Couldn't ask for a cooler, sweeter UK friend. I PROMISE I'll be catchin' up on emails & the recent blogs I let slip by, ASAP.
It's gonna get REAL crazy here soon, as I might be forced to work TWO "day" jobs soon, so we can keep ourselves living & under our current roof! My wife says I shouldn't mention financial issues so often, but I figure THAT way, if we appear to drop off the face of the planet for a moment, you'll realize what's goin' on.
Don't worry, we'll stay in touch with you either way. Right now, to add to the economics scariness we're facin', members of the household are comin' down with the FLU ==> so the DirgeK CD Cover project is moving a little slower than Princezzz would've liked.

If you want to have a go at recording and mixing your own music as suggested by the Thinking Man you could try out this free software

Thanks Jill -- I'll definitely be lookin' into the MUtools free-ware, but mic costs & other issues surrounding doing a professional recording will still send me to an actual studio at some point in the future. It's REALLY awesome to have an experienced & unbiased ear to do the raw recording, mic placement, and mixing/mastering -- so that'll probably stay my favorite method of recording for now.
And thanks to all the stations who did add Psychic Friend !!!

Yeah.... I used to listen a little, I guess that's where Weird Al came from and such. Hmmmmm.... I hope I'm not just some kind of Weird AL Wannabe? DOH!
Naww.... he spent TOO much time on Parody of mainstream artists and their music, & not enough time on creating his OWN original music. But he has sometimes been funny. Did you dig his movie with that dude from Seinfeld? urrr... who played Stanley the janitor in VHF?

yup. Not seen this one! I heard he fell into some trouble, in later years, over his SERIOUS & unforgiveable problems with being a pedophile....
Anyhoo... If y'all think I'm comparable MUSIC-and or VOCALS-WISE -- fuckin' awesome! Just no pedophile stuff please. I've got LOADS of kids, and love them in a VERY normal, NON-michael Jackson kinda way....

BY the way, did you wish Tony a HAPPY 65th for us yesterday? (SORRY -- not much time for IAC lately) Hope the PARTY you threw was bitchin'!
