Golden Kayak Nominations-Thank You
Just a few lines to thank all of you at IAC for the opportunity to win a Golden Kayak. I consider it a great honor to be nominated by my peers, especially as I regard a lot of the artists here to have far superior talent then my own. I have never been nominated for anything before, well not anything good anyway, so this was a greatly needed boost that came just at the right time.
It came as a big surprise to find two of my songs on the nominations list, and at a low point for me, since after having spent a lot of hours finishing my E.P. and you know what is like, taking retaking, mixing remixing etc., as I wanted to be happy with the final product and not be too hasty in sending it off, so I took my time....
It then came out on Amazon.com and when I checked it out I thought: "What the hell have you done here!!!", "How could you let this go through!!" So I was very unhappy with myself, thinking I should withdraw the E.P. ASAP before it hit iTunes (It hasn't yet). I did not do that, even though I probably should have!! So I just wanted to say thank you for a much needed boost, so I can keep writing until my old fingers don't work anymore.
I congratulate all of the winners, and I am in the process of doing so individually. Once again it was a great honor to be on the nominees list and I consider that an award in itself, so a very big THANK YOU IAC from me.
