Monkey68 - Live in New London next Friday, 3rd April
Hey, all - been a while since the monkey's been able to frequent the boards - LOTS going on (sure you know how that is?)
Well, the great news is that we three live monkeys will be playing the late set at Bank Street Café, New London next Friday night, April 3rd - probably starting sometime between 9.30 and 10 pm. If you're in the area, come on down and join us - we're excited for how much fun it's going to be - if not, we'll think of you as we carouse the New London night!

Ha!
I've played the Bank Street Cafe ... in another life years ago ...
lol ...
Thanks for the notice ...
I'll put it on my calendar ... but my life is hectic, so I can't make any commitment until I know I'm clear.
Still ...
Cool ...

Woodstock - it's all right, the old one (my younger self knows it very, very well) is still there, bigger, louder and faster, but the New one is what I call home now... Interestingly, it's on the river Thames too - but where my countrymen and I pronounce it 'Tems', the locals here use the 'Th' and the 'a', so it sounds like 'Th-aims'.
Regardless of new or old, the monkey is alive and kicking and REALLY looking forward to Friday night (we played on Sunday and, boy-oh-boy, if we play even half as well we'll be on fire!)

Yep, so did I and Glenn's right...you boys kicked some solid gold butt, especially with your own songs. That marquee ought to be good for photos all weekend (I've seen it remain unchanged for a week).
Now I must apologize in advance for not attending your Stash's gig come April 23rd. I will be playing at Sneekers with the Sandman (Hoolios, Rivergods) as an acoustic duo. But if that gal from the Hard Rock shows up and DOESN'T book you, she'd be hard-pressed to find a good reason why not. Give 'em what for at Stash's...it's a great rock club; the food is good and the pints are cold !
Hope to see you and the other monkeys April 10 when the Rivergods do our Blue Collar Happy Hour thing at the Bank St. Cafe. Downbeat between 6:30 / 7:00.

nah, Sneekers Cafe...in Groton, on Poquonnock Rd. I'll take a picture///you really gotta see to believe. It's got a lot of character, but the main character is this moose head....occupies half the stage area. After all these years, I STILL bump my head!! Great folks, great food, and the beer is cold. I play there three Thursdays each month, with an occasional Saturday night thrown into the mix.
We keep telling Rhonda (one of the owners) to do a live streaming camera thing there....like they do in Key West. "Under The Moose". We also keep telling her to fix the power. I can understand a buzz from single coil pickups, but it wreaks havoc with humbuckers as well LOL! Of course, only six feet behind the stage outside there is a series of power meters lined up on the back wall (think maybe that has something to do with it??). I'll take a picture of that, too.
