Jeez, Vince...thanks for putting the gig up here. Seems I always forget to do the important things like PROMOTION. It was cool to see you there at the show and thank you for helping to make it even more memorable for us.
Felt good to play out after four months hiatus and though with only one rehearsal in preparation, we all agreed it was one of our best performances to date.
After the show tonight we discussed the possibility of using the Eugene O'Neill Theater Barn as the live show/recording venue for our next album. It's got a great vibe, the acoustics are lively but warmly dynamic and perfect for recording an intimate performance for an audience. We plan to use ticket sales to help offset the cost of recording and will include a copy of the CD for the attendees. If we're real lucky, we just might get a video out of it too.
For those unfamiliar, O'Neill was a renowned playwright born and raised in the New London area. At his home and surrounding outbuildings (the theater complex), aspiring young actors/writers spend a semester improving their skills under the guidance of professionals who judge their final performances in the theater barn.

For those who CAN make it to Stash's Cafe Thursday, April 23, you're in for a treat...Monkey68 is a tight trio and they tear it up real good!!
If you're having difficulty with distance and/or transportation, I think I heard Vince mention something about using his private Lear jet as a taxi service (hee hee). Give 'em hell, Vince

I will do just that, Mike - hey on the O'Neill idea, how about we make it a Rivergods/Monkey68 double header, bring both audiences and split the cost of recording/renting - we'd definitely be up for it?

Oh, and sorry to say but Congress really didn't like me flying the private jet - I can spare a bicycle though...
