Your Song (You Wish)
Hi guys, this is my first blog here (and only my second day on IAC) and I'm loving it. Thanks for the invite.

I have lots of songs that I would consider one of my favourites and that I wish I could have written myself.

My first has to be Harder to Breathe by Maroon 5. I can so relate to this song. Another is Best Friends Girl bby Electrassy - I don't know what it is about this song but I am so in love with it.

I would like to know what is the song that you wish you had written and why?

Take it easy y'all.

See You Soon.

Hi Paul, and welcome. Good job on your first blog - I like it and I hope to see a lot of responses.

I can't tell you what is THE song I wish I'd written, but I can tell you one of many. Here's one that is played on the radio pretty regularly, at least in my part of the world. "One Headlight" by the Wallflowers, written by Jakob Dylan. The music, the arrangement, the lyrics, the instrumentation, the vocal delivery... it is one of the most perfect yet under-appreciated songs ever recorded.

I know that this song is great because I'm not a fan of the Wallflowers. I don't own a Wallflowers CD. It's just a song I've heard on the radio many many times, and every time I hear it I crank it and the dang thing brings tears to my eyes.

welcome to IAC, Paul!

I was asked this question around a year ago and my answer at the time was Walrus. However, right now it would be Lithium by Nirvana.

Thanks for the reply to this one. I'm just listening to One Headlight and I like it. It reminds me a little of a band called Del Amitri - great band. You should check 'em out if you get the chance.

Take Care

Paul.
