DirgeK R.I.P. (5th Oct 1981 - 3rd October 2006)
Today is the anniversary of DirgeK’s death and Sunday would have been her 27th birthday. As a celebration of her life we invite you to stream her artist page DirgeK , sing along, play along and it you would like to record your efforts that would be great.

I have uploaded two other versions of the song "Coming Home' which were made during production of this song with Heavy D and the Lucksta on lead guitar as I would like everyone who collaborated with DirgeK to join in the celebration.

Absolutely awesome! She's one of my phavorite artists on IAC, and I got a little sad readin' this. I was just braggin' about her in another BLOG comment & listening to her music this mornin' and earlier this evening -- so her spirit is definitely vibrantly affecting the muses & such out there!!
My heart goes out to you DK's Mum & Dad, you raised an amazing woman & musician/Artist ! I celebrate her beauty with you. -pHLeGM

I am so very sorry for your Loss, I think it is such a great thing that you are keeping her memory and Legacy alive here. We may leave this earth before our time, but the music will live forever.

Thank you for sharing the extraordinary life ... mind ... spirit ... song & voice of your beloved daughter may she live long in the hearts of all who are blessed enough to know her through your loving efforts. She is simply unforgettable.
I've taken a few liberties and am posting a few snippets from a variety of poems and such in honor of Dirgek today, I hope you don't mind. Today I shall light some candles round my vase filled with colorful blooming Lillies and go about my work listening to the soulful and passion filled songs of the one and only Dirgek. She is a light that never goes out ... and I'm grateful to know of her and hear her, she has inspired my soul immensely.

A gift to one another we are... her talent, her humor, her story... has allowed each of us to care for her in our own way. In sharing DirgeK's life... you have allowed her to penetrate our hearts... and in that... her spirit lives within each one of us... thank you for allowing us to know her... for allowing our hearts to love her too. In honor of DirgeK's life, I will as well, light a candle... and play her music.

Thankyou all for your kind words and support, it means a lot to us to feel that Dirge's spirit has found such a good home here and a special thanks to Anjuli for the very uplifting poetry. Long live IAC.

nice name drop RedRobin. LOVE C.S. Lewis -- one of my favorite OPEN-minded Authors in all of Christendom.... You should check out his secular works of fiction, I use to own them. Can't remember the titles --but most telling were some of his VERY exploratory & open-ended short stories.... And did you know he was a contemporary of J.R.R. Tolkien, and they were best-buds who hung out & drank pints of tasty English/Irish/German Beer together? yup.
uh... Sorry to go off topic for a moment, but saw an opportunity to expand the mind of another C.S. Lewis fan...
DirgeK's music is truly amazing.... I was reading how she worked for hours & hours on getting her vocal chords to form all octaves of notes that she could accomplish. And it shows in her pitch-perfect style & HUGE vocal range! She could've been an Opera Singer for Christ's sake. Simply incredible voice, and on my playlist HEAVILY for the last few days.
