Stegor's Daily Sketch
I have this job where I often find myself sitting in boring meetings. I always have a sketchbook with me. People think I'm taking notes. Ha! So I was flipping through one of my sketchbooks and came across this one. I thought "It's too bad I'm the only one that ever sees these little impromptu streams of consciousness. I bet there are some folks on the Pipeline that might find them... interesting." They aren't all music related, but to me music and visual art are inseparable. It is the Independent Artist Company, after all!

So I decided to do a daily visual blog. Some of these sketches are very rough and postage stamp size, some are intricate and in living color (depending on the length and boredom factor of the meeting). Feel free to comment, in fact captions might be fun. Depending on how it looks as it develops I may find it necessary to delete posts, so don't be offended if I do.

DAY ONE

This was a longer and more boring meeting and I had one of those fat pens with a bunch of different colors in it.

BWAHAHAHAH!

Maybe I could get a job where you work, but instead of sketching at meetings I could track songs into a mini-recorder...um...people would think I was recording "notes"?

Is that one of those sketches they show you when they're trying to find out what you see in it to determine your state of mind etc?

He was Stegor, the Doodling Dude
Doodled daily, expressing his mood
But his wild artistic messing
Kept the Pipeline posters guessing
Were these doodled doings cryptic or just rude?

The Mistress of Music found she had no choice,
She had to deploy her keen poetic voice,
For Stegor's strange art
Struck right at her heart
And her eyes would first look, then get moist...

BWAHAHAHAH!

Seems that Hugo is touched by the bard
He is not a poetic retard
But his saucy entente
Would embarrass my Aunt,
On reflection it wouldn't be hard.

I came to dance
and look at the pictures
and to read all the lines
from the permanent fixtures

The drawings were great
the lines made me grin
once more, my heart
dances again

Oh how we love browsing through Stegor's Gallery
Great how he scribbles and still draws his salary
So much I see that I cannot explain
Like 'The man with no band' rhyming "grin" with "again" (<>)
