An ode to my favorite refrigerator
A few days ago I posted a lengthy story about the sad (but temporary) dissolution of Bat Lenny back in the '90's. A certain refrigerator was featured heavily in this story. Well, I wrote a song about him - I mean it - back in 1990 or sometime around there. It's pretty weird. I also made a video which I may subject you to later.

Unusual .... ??? ... Sounds normal to me Stegor ....
It takes a very special man to write a song about his favorite fridge !
I'm having more fun listening on this 2nd trip ... can't believe I never heard this on the radio .... "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me ... than have a frontal lobotomy" ... hee hee

I would have been so proud to have written this one Stegor - it was truly heart rending and I feel completely defrosted by it. The main character will be misunderstood and shunned by the ordinary songwriters all over the World but for me he has a pathos rarely encountered in freezer compartments anywhere. I think I have a penchant for fridge lyrics however because Al Stravinsky did one about magnetic door letters that charmed me too. There was also a very old one called "who puts the little light on" that I sing to myself when life gets too much to bear.

Maybe someone should set up a station dedicated to appliances. I had a brave little toaster once, but the only 'appliance' I wrote a song about was an iron lung (but that doesn't really qualify).
