A Stegor / Bat Lenny update
Enough about you...
Stegor's been absent for a while. I hope a few of you noticed! This might sound like one of those annoying family updates that people send out at Christmas time, but like it or not, here's an update...
Stegor and Dr. Dust went to a cabin we rented up north for a week. The loons were particularly active but the northerns were quiet. The largemouth bass made their presence known from time to time. We brought the portable version of our studio with us and got the basic track down for a new song.
Meanwhile The Nail was embroiled in a divorce drama that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. It caused him to miss our annual Bat Lenny fishing retreat for the first time since 1984. It went his way for the most part, but it was painful nonetheless. We're all glad it's over because it's really put a damper on Bat Lenny activity. The basic track is now in his hands and we hope he will recover from his wounds soon so he can add some vocal and guitar magic.
In other news, my 12 year old son broke his nose by trying to catch a baseball with it. He knows now that it's not very effective when used for that purpose. He insisted on finishing the game and the ump looked the other way when it comes to the "blood rule" so he finished the game and hit a homerun in the process.
I got rear-ended in a Taco Bell drive through. That was a $523.89 softshell supreme for the poor sap behind me.
Well, that's all for now.

Hi Stegor, We were so please to see your name up on the Pipeline again as only yesterday we were saying it was time you were back and that we missed your reliable and entertaining input.
IAC has been away itself lately but we are back with new hope and spirit and many new artists on the books.
There are a few other regulars missing I have noticed....so if you're out there folks, come back, we love you/or love to hate you j/k ()

Good to see you back, Steg. Sometimes it's good to just get 'away', and unwind. I'm glad that you took the portable studio with you, and I can't wait to hear what's in the offing. It's also good that the Nail seems to be through the worst of the D incident. They say that marriage is the chief cause of divorce, and I can't see the flaw in that argument. Congrats on your son's determination. He's a great hitter, he just needs to work on his fielding a tad. I've been told that the nose requires a special glove (available from Spalding), but it's a pain to 'break in'.
Anyway- great to have you back!

For some reason OB-LA-DI, OB-LA-DA comes to mind when reading your well phrased missive, Stegorator...I'm reminded of the time my family drove up to a drive through Taco Bell window (after a family wedding with much quaffage) and dissolved into laughter when Grampa ordered a few Chalupas...for all I know, a Chalupa IS a Mexican food item - but at the time, none of us thought it was...let's discuss the "blood rule" as it pertains to rock-n-roll, shall we? LOL...happy trails to you and yours...

Hey everyone - thanks for the welcome-back.
Duane - I'm still stunned about that song. Does this count as my 15 minutes of fame? Actually it's only 4:30 so I got 10:30 to go.
John - you got me good with that one. Now enough about me...

That it does, Terry. He's going in Thursday to get it straightened out. They would have been carrying me off the field if it were me. I think it's harder for the parent than it is for the kid when they get scratched and dented. Unfortunately it means he's out for the season because he can't risk getting it bumped again after surgery. His Mom and I are more disappointed than he is.
