CLASSIC SONGS YOU TURN UP, OR TURN OFF.
Driving in my car I noticed, some old songs I still love, and some I don't ever need to hear again. Even tho I think they are great.
C.C.R.S' Green River Turn up!
THE EAGLES' Hotel California Turn off!
Anybody else care to add to this?

I agree with both of those!
Harry Nilsson - Jump into the Fire
Heard it the other day and cranked it. One of those songs that never got played a lot but still gets played once in a while. So simple but what a great groove. Herbie Flowers on bass and Chris Spedding on guitars.
Old Time Rock & Roll by Bob Seger. Jeez, enough already.

"Riders On The Storm" by the Doors - ALWAYS turn it up.
"Freebird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd - I have to turn down, owing to some deeply-rooted personal problems (sorry). Basically, saturation.

Oh cool John..LISTS!!! I love doing 'em..
Its weird with radio..Thinking about it,for me there's great songs that have withstood alot of playing and i still love (Born To Run,Superstition,Layla)..Then there's fundamentally great songs that have become really annoying from total overplaying (Hotel California,Bohemian Rhapsody,Dancing Queen)
I've reserved special categories of contempt at the bottom, for dreadful, dreadful songs i hated when they came out-and STILL have to suffer them,'cos they're played so much..

God Carl Losing My Religion-How annoying and intensely overplayed is that song ?
I'd add End Of The World (and We Know it) and grrrrr Everybody Hurts to that list too..

Let's face it. Just about anything by, The Eagles, The Police, Fleetwood Mac, have ran themselves into the ground. I still love Tom Petty, but nothing last forever.
(except the Beatles)

Disagree with Fleetwood Mac being run into the ground.
They are one band that I still turn UP.
Especially "The Chain" or "Never Going Back".

Somehow I'm curious to listen to just about anything at some point or another. That doesn't mean I like it all, just I am curious about it all.
But I can give a simple example or two of a couple bands I don't listen to unless they come up on the radio but will turn up with their first singer and off with their second most likely (unless I just feel curious):
ACDC
Van Halen
