Thought this is pretty cool...
This appeared in the entertainment section of our local paper yesterday announcing our show tonight....of interest here is the notice of our presence here at IAC (also posted to our website). I know there are a whole bunch of bands in the area who would enjoy being here as well as new music enthusiasts. It's our hope this will also expand IAC's "digital footprint" as well.
M68, if your out and about, come on up and introduce yourself....it'll be good to meet you, man!
A Gift From The 'Gods
Published in The Day on 12/27/2007
Radiohead offers "In Rainbows," an entire album, to fans for whatever they want to pay for it.
Yeah?
Well, our own Rivergods can top that. You can download their 10th anniversary commemorative CD, "Rivolver," for free simply by going to their Web site, www.therivergods.com. A 14-song collection of live cuts, rarities and even new songs, "Rivolver" is a pretty astonishing gift from the 'gods — and the best way to show your appreciation to the band is to show up at their fifth annual "It's That Time of Year" concert Friday at Muddy Waters in New London.
Though the intimate coffee house setting suggests an acoustic sing along, the band will actually be out in full force with at least one electric guitar and the attendant drums and bass to underscore the band's lovely but powerful alt-country-rock gems.
Of late, the Rivergods have been busy. Their self-described "digital footprint" is indeed expanding: they have a new site up at the Independent Artists Community (www.iacmusic.com), their song "Time Has Come" has been recently added to Neil Young's "Living With War Today" site.
What shouldn't be forgotten in all this data is what a superb and ongoing collection of tunes the Rivergods have written over the years.

Thanks, Sam, we had a great time, too. The house was packed, and being it's a small coffeehouse, we were able to take the setlist dynamically from way down inside to over-the-top rockin'.
Ken, I changed our home url (eliminated the "www.") and it seems to load much more quickly now....thanks for the "heads up". Have you received "Time Has Come" from CD Baby yet? Incidently, Rick Koster is the staff music reviewer for The Day paper (and quite an author in his own write, with a couple of novels published; check him out).

I was informed at the gig that quite a few folks from IAC have been downloading "Rivolver" tracks from our homepage...enjoy with our compliments and sincere thanks to you all!
Now I'm curious to check the stats to see if New London County is as responsive to the IAC link posted in the article. Can't catch fish if you don't drown worms, eh?
Have a rockin' New Year!

I was reading the press clip when New London caught my eye. Looks like we're too late for that gig, but I checked your upcoming schedule on your site and hope to make it to the one on the 11th.
Congratulations on 10 years!
