the economy of moments....
.....or, "savor and bask"
Someone shot some video of the Rivergods' performance at the Hygienic Arts Park Stage during New London's Sailfest weekend and shared 3 min., 9 sec. of it with the world. If Andy Warhol was correct in his assertion that everyone is allotted 15 minutes of fame, we have a balance of 11:51 to s-t-r-e-t-c-h into a lifetime of fun. I hope I did the link thing correctly.
Enjoy

Thanks, Samcat, that was a great weekend, and one of two shows we played for New London's annual Sailfest weekend. This is from the Hygienic Arts Park stage. The second was an opening set for a popular Canadian band, whose name I embarrasingly can't remember....you see I suffer from early onset of CRS disease. I do remember bagpipes, though (who CAN"T remember that, lol)

Hugh
hat...$6 Walmart
shirt...$4 Goodwill
what I saw flying above early on...priceless

That's a modified Squire J-bass I recently bought for two reasons
1) it was inexpensive, and
2) I had the good sense not to carve up my '74 J-bass to put in that big ol' Dark Star pickup and build a Berry Oakley "tractor" of my own.
That's one of the things I love most about Fender guitars....you can work on 'em like an old car, swapping parts and such. Many voices in that new axe.
The Dark Star is an improved design of the Hagstrom p'ups they used to put in the old Guild Starfire basses built right here in my hometown.

And me, Mrs Monkey and the two mini-monkeys were there at Sailfest too!

We may be sharing a bill in early 2009, Mike - if we are, I'm already looking forward to it!
