Experimenting With A Virtual Guitar Amp
I've been experimenting with one of those virtual guitar amp things of late. The bass player in one of my bands lent me his Behringer Bass V-amp. It means I can tuner my guitar 'up loud' for recording with out making a sound, and thus not annoying the neighbours.
I just uploaded the results of an evening jammin, a bit of fun really, don't know how long I'll leave the tune up, depends if people like it I suppose.
It's called Nameless Blues, and you can find it on my artist page.

Hitchhiker walks the dog :)
There are some pretty good software vamps out, too. Try any of them? Amplitube is not bad.

Becuase I'm an awkward bugger that runs AmigaOS 4.0 on an amiga rather than windows on a (tries not to spit) PC non of them will work for me. That type of software is one of the few things that tempt me to the dark side...

My Atari ST wouldn't run it either, so I had to upgrade :)

I have a Behringer V-amp as well for my guitar. Im still learning my way around it, but its pretty kool so far. Really good quality for its price too!
And it is great for recording :)

The guitar sound is great.
I think I'll need to get my Behringer out again.
Thanks for reminding me about it.

I'm not sure that replacing my G4 based AmigaOne with some and or intel based peecee would count as an upgrade ... except maybe in the CyberMan sense, aggh that's another reason to get be assimilated by the peecee masses, the third party flash player my miggy uses in linux mode can't handle the BBC iPlayer so I can't watch DrWho.

You got it Andy .... I'll do it Later today and try and get it back to you by tomorrow ...
Oh BOY ... I love the blues most of all ... and guys like you do it so well that I don't record my blues stuff ... It's one part of music I consider sacred and until I learn to do it right I couldn't stand the thought of butchering my favorite genre ... but I do think I can handle a harp bit surrounded by your great work ...
Thanks Andy

Okay Sam, I'll look forward to that ...
Got to do loads of boring stuff like tax returns today, so will give me something intresting to do afterwards.
