Flametop Fred is My Favorite Internet Presence
Your featured artist today? That guy is so insightful and hilarious. Too bad he doesn't post here. He's a creative musical force, too, always experimenting out on his boundaries. He taught me tons of stuff about how we do this.
Anyway, it was cool to see him up as the artist today.
If you get him to start blogging, you'll see what I mean.

Just stick single words in the search engine and it works pretty well, Hugh. I searched Flametop and here's the page.

Yes, I'm familiar with the search function and tried it. For some reason NOTHING is coming up for me - might be related to my various computer distress lately, but it seems odd. I just searched "all" for "love" and nothing came up - and I know I should get a long list...thanks for the link. I googled FF and there are only a couple of pages of results...I notice your name appears on a number of the linked pages.
Rock!

Definitely enjoyed a listen to several tunes. Noticed the VS Planet link. As a VS2480 user I'm intrigued.

I like his approach to music, but you gotta check out the stuff he posts. He sorta hasn't been online much, but he would used to post regular at vs planet. Maybe never here? I'm not sure, but he is flat out hilarious at times, and insightful.
Anyway, I had posted this on that day because he was the featured artist here, so I thought I'd try to steer attention his way.
I use a vs 1680, Hugh.

Way to be on the Roland, Bob - Mr. Ison has a Roland 8-track. I'm not exactly married to the VS2480 but it has allowed me to do stuff at home I never use to imagine was possible. A friend once joked that my next step was a console in the living room. I thought it was a joke, anyway...now I'm not so sure...
I've enjoyed delving into your blogs and I appreciate the fact that you seem wall able to stay focused on music-making, which is what I enjoy most about this venue but which has been a bit scarce for a while now. And while saying that I must acknowledge that I stray a bit myself. Hats off to yuz, MusicMan...

Why shit, I'd probaby never show up to my own funeral. Anyway thanks for all the kind words and stuff. Some apparition filled my being with bliss.
Uh ... yeah I been in and around these here parts but haven't posted too much. Why? The real world (where I am one of The Sims) got dicey and this job thing was ... weird. Bad bad voodoo and vibes all around.
I now have a new job so maybe I can peek out from under the curtains and say things.
Not much else to say. I am still talking to myself and still stalking creativity one song at a time. New songs. New mixes. Just have to break out the old Commodore 64 and post them to the user list serv. Is that what people still do? I been away for some time.
Anyway, thanks.
Yours, Mr. Moody

You know, being one of The Sims as a job is not so bad. Mostly you kind of just hang out until you feel the computer monitor kind of swing your way. Then you have to read the __script and do a few things. Depends. Good exposure. I am applying for a job at Second Life. Any tips?

Flametop is overrated. haha He disappears for years at a time and by the time he comes back you forget why you liked him in the first place. :)

Bob says I have an approach to music. It's called stalking.
You can buy Approach Shoes now and I find them comfortable when stalking music.

Usually I see a melody go by. If it is an unaccompanied melody then I, you know, sort of approach that melody under the guise of providing harmony. I say "baby, you know you and I could Harmonize together" and then I get slapped in the face or slapped with a restraining order. So then it's back to stalking the creativity.

Anyway. It's good to be back and I have started to write stuff again, and you know, be creative and everything.
The last past year was a very, very stressful one. What I learned was
a) some level of stress is okay for creativity and music is a vent
b) after a certain point, too much stress is very bad for the nervous system
c) so bad in fact that I had shingles, which is brought about by stress
Anyway, it's good to be back.
oh .. gotta run. I am presently a Sim in one of the night clubs. I have to go dance now.

Hmmm... BEing a SIM, sounds like a fun job.... Know anything like that in Tucson?
I need a fuckin' DAY job/or killer night job, like yours. Congrats on that one.
Great to see you BACK, Flametop Fred -- I knew you'd come back up in here, if we called you out!
