Trips Me Out to Hear Hugh Interview Steve Ison
I mean, it like violates some kind of impassable barrier of the parallel universes.
Wow.

That's not what I mean, Dork.
I just in ten years on the internet have rarely ever heard voices to go with the writing I read.
Like the cyber world never cross over to the real world.

ha ha ha
I had the same reaction Bob.
Seems IAC has it's own supervillain... Riddler Light... I wonder when we will be forewarned of capers by leaving us complex clues?

I did a stream all on Hugh last night and found that little track quite facinating, especially as it was out of context :-)

Well, "dork" might be a bit too strong a word given that I've been a Riddler fan since I was about five.
Let's start over on a new foot. How 'bout this: are you the central character in the next movie, and if so, how would anyone follow Ledger's Joker? I mean, it's enough to shut down the franchise.
But as for deep, you gotta admit it adds depth when Ison speaks in that phony British accent. Who does he think he's fooling, anyway?

Seems Ison is from the slummy part of England where his education didn't teach him to articulate. :D
I haven't seen the recent episode of Batman, I've always felt the Joker is overrated. I should've been in the first Batman movie, not he. However it's come to the IMAX now and I think I will be partaking, just so I can see what the Caped Creep is up to because I have been plotting a scheme that could be the end of Batman and Robin. heehahahaahaahaahaa heeheehahahaahaahaa haheehaheehahee

Thanks for having a listen and for taking the time to comment, Bob. That interview was the culmination of about nine months of very active DJ-ing here for me, and it was a time when my real creative energy got pointed into the station ideas rather than my own songwriting and recording. It was very fun, and I could imagine that being a DJ and/or an interviewer would be one of the few "real" jobs I could sink my teeth into. I've had a slight fantasy of doing a Charlie Rose-style interview show with some live performance as part of it, and actually have connections to the "local access" crowd of our area's cable tv setup...but that would take a real commitment and a lot of time and I just don't have the time.
At any rate, the interview was a joy to do, mostly because I really was just being myself and honestly expressing my admiration and enjoyment of Steve and his music. Whether it was recorded for an interview or simply a phone chat between two online acquaintances making the leap to "real life" friends I gladly did it. I absolutely love the opportunity that exists on this site to not only find so many great tunes to listen to, but to have some friendly banter with the folks making it. Although the urge rises from time to time to stick a truck of dynamite under my various online pages and obliterate all trace of my internet existence THAT more than anything else is what keeps me going online, and specifically here.
Thanks again for having a listen.

Many thanks Bob..I gotta thank Hugh first of all for kindly interviewing me in the 1st place and secondly for re-uploading it and promoting it the way he has which is incredibly generous-spirited-and you probably wouldn''t of even heard it if he hadn't !
I'm delighted you got that feeling off us talking :)...even tho i can here my self-consciousness and it makes me cringe,i so wish i was more relaxed but if i get any other opportunities hopefully i can learn to be more so..
I love your posts so much for being open and insightful about your creative process. Its where my fascination lies too and i'm constantly looking for things here and on the 'net to feed me that way..I really wish there was more stuff..
If you know any good books, pleaase let me know!
Btw Hugh..No more sticks of dynamite,please!! ;)
"Seems IAC has it's own supervillain... Riddler Light... I wonder when we will be forewarned of capers by leaving us complex clues?"
Lol Anjuli..I don't think riddler light has the capability to go 'complex' judging from his previous posts..

Hey, Mr. Ison, it's about 10:30pm in Philadelphia which makes me think you're having an all-nighter...hope you're online in between bouts of writing and recording...
Meant to say to Mr. Broad what a fine and appreciated compliment it is to be streamed...that really brought a smile to my face and I'm sorry I neglected to comment on it the first time.
Riddle me this...umm...on second thought, nevermind...
And I just visited The Interview Station and I'm thinking Steve is going to be singing the Musical Connections song tomorrow (lol)..."I've Had No Sleep"...

I'm glad you brought this up ... I was gonna stream this station a few moons ago ... musta got side tracked ... :) ... anyway I'm enjoying it now ... some of it I've heard ... but it's well worth the re listen ...
I'm enjoyin' the **** out of myself right now .... what a pleasurable deal ... this whole thing ... interviews and all should be a best selling Cd ...
This reminds me of late night radio ... once upon a time ... man I miss those days ... this really captures a long lost moment in time ... and I can always listen to Steve's music for hours on end so it's doubly enjoyable ...
Great thing to do Hugh ...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!
We'll get on it.
Thanks for listening, Sam. I just had a listen myself, mostly to the interview segments with just a few secs of songs. It was really an indescribable pleasure to chat with Steve. The second anniversary is just a couple of weeks away or so - time flies...
