golly gee!
Hallo Everybodee!

Well, gee whiz. First off, a humungous thank you to all of you kind souls who have linked to any of the Trolleyvox songs that Brother Hugo (aka Hugh Hamilton, aka, the 19th Beatle, aka the Hughmungotroid, a name I just came up with all by myself) has so kindly tipped all y'all off to. I'm shocked. And stunned. Shocked and stunned, I tell you, to find out that the Trolleyvox, the band I belong to and attend the regular weekly meetings therein (when we can summon a quorum) have (has?) made it to Number #2 on the IAC Top 50. I don't know what Hugo put in your drinking water, but it seems to have taken effect in a big way. Not only have you succeeded in levitating the Pentagon, but you have elevated my heart as well. As have you the hearts of the rest of the Tvox posse. I'm assuming, anyway. I haven't told them yet about the #2 thing. Christ, I just found out about it today. I'll try to get in touch with all youz guys as soon as Hugo deigns to reveal to me the password to the Trolleyvox IAC page. Which he may be reluctant to do, power-hungry control freak that he is. Or so I hear. It could all be a clever ruse on his part to put me off the trail. Have you listened to his songs yet? McCartney should be so lucky as to grovel for some of Hugo's songwriting crumbs. Hey, last night I had a dream in which Lennon (John), circa early 1967, was telling me about this 60's soul artist I'd never heard of that he was really into. Then he had to go to re-enact the cover of Abbey Road with the rest of the Beatles, only this time they were crossing a brick side street in Baltimore. It was all that much more poignant for him (and I guess me) since he knew he was no longer of this world. Still, about 15 fans applauded the band from across the street. The soundtrack to this was the soul/borderline-funk-circa-1968 tune as covered by the Beatles in 1964 thereabouts (I know, dream logic, right?), with Lennon doing a killer lead vocal. Just inspiring. The original is on my iPod, but I forget the artist and title at the moment. A subject for another post: memory loss. At the airport terminal this morning in San Juan, PR (don't ask) was a digital sign that read: "Clear memory". I took a picture of it and will try to remember to post it.

xoxo,
Andrew

I dunno yer password - if I did, you can be sure I would have uploaded a different audio file for "Intermission" once it hit the Big 50 (maybe "Gear Lust"? LOL!)...

Welcome, Andrew and band...I hope yer new nickname for me doesn't stick...might just have to start calling you the Chalfenator...

xxoo,
H
