the beginnings of a grocery list
1. Must remember to start posting songs. I was thinking that I'd use my IAC page to post some instrumentals I've been recording at home. Still sounds like my songwriting, but a bit more groove and loop-oriented, sort of a left turn from some of the Trolleyvox stuff. I may not be able to do that from this page as it's a "listener" page. Maybe there's a way to change over to an "artist" page. Don't you just love reading these intriguing internal workings of my brain?
2. Must figure out how to use the features of this site correctly.
3. Apparently, Hugo had absolutely nothing to do with the creation of the Trolleyvox page. I stand (or sit, really) corrected. I will have my people call your people. Let's do lunch.
4. Has anyone had any recording experience with Apple's new version of Logic? Do the files created in Logic play well with others? That is, if I made recordings with Logic on a Mac, then took them over to a friend's PC with another DAW, say Pro Tools or whatever, will they open seamlessly? Can I "print" effects as tracks in Logic? Does that last sentence make sense? Also, can I run the new logic on my Mac Mini, or will I need more processing power than that?
5. Man, I need to start listening to some music around here! Maybe if I took a sick day from work...
6. Where did I put my capo?
xoxo

Hi Andrew. I like the way your brain is working, we can use as much of that as we can get at IAC.
I can't help you cross off all the "Things to do" but I can tell you that you don't need to 'change over' from a listener to an artist membership, you can have both. Anyone can start an artist page... and if they want to display songs that are very different or in collaboration with other artists or band then they are allowed to create a separate identity. We have to be careful that no-one abuses the rule just to avoid paying for Prime that's all.
Anyway you have my name and link if you need help getting about here at this wonderful site. - Cheers for now Verity (IAC Community Hostess)

Grocery list, eh? I've satisfied (most) of my guitar and pre-amp kinda lust - but mics and amps remain high on the list. High-end ribbons in the mic realm, and high-end tubes in the amp realm. Got room on yer list for summa that?
Can't help with any of that fancy computer-recording stuff. Roland VS2480 dude here, though I'm sensing something like ProTools in my future, considering the long-distance fun I've been having lately.
Geez, you're local. Come on by sometime - or just send Beth (lol).
xxoo,
H
