My Deepest Thanks...
My Dear Dear friends and especially to Anjuli, my soul sister...
Yesterday, I just saw the wonderful thread that my dear friend started a few days ago, I think it was called, "Prayers for Gina"? I couldn't find the thread anymore, but I did read all of the sweet and heartfelt messages to me, how can I thank you all enough? I appreciate all of your support and prayers and of course am so indebted to my dear Anjuli for her reaching out to this great community to send their warmth and healing words to me.
I am recovering from a great loss. My mother died suddenly about a week and a half ago. She was doing very well over Xmas, but unfortunately got very sick on that Monday after the Xmas weekend, with no warning. She was put in the hosptial with pneumonia and it complicated her congestive heart failure and kidney failure. We thought she might be able to fight this last battle, but I'm afraid that this was much too great for her to overcome. She did die peacefully at the end and was very coherent up until 2 hours before she passed, just an amazing lady. She also died on my bday, January 4th, which I actually see as a gift, not a sadness. I of course am knee deep in grief and am still in shock and trying to just let things naturally take their course. It will take alot of time to recover, but I am comforted by all of the great friends that I have, in particularly, my dear friends from IAC. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for your great support, love, and friendship. Many blessings to you all...
Love, Gina

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. ~Author Unknown
Gina....
May you find comfort at this time, and the support of those who are here for you if need be.
Peace,

I hope that these words that bring me comfort may also bring some comfort to you at this time.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow,
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain,
I am in the graceful rush,
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night,
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room,
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing,
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I do not die.
Mary E Frye
Her spirit lives on, you will never be alone
Love and peace to you.

Oh Gina I am so sorry about your mom....that is so hard...she will live forever in your heart...
My mom died in 1984...I used to cry for no reason for a long time...my mom died on my daughter's birthday and I didn't want to celebrate my daughter's birthday on that day. That is a shame about the pneumonia..it seems so common.
Well it is so hard to lose your mother...slowly it will get easier...she'll always be a part of you. Hang in there.

Thank you for posting the obituary. Your mom looks like a sweetheart, and I didn't realize she was from Central America...she must have really been a sweetheart...Latinos are wonderful...Gee Gina, it's scary how fast one can get pneumonia and then all those other things can happen...
