Woodstock Taylor - Fundraiser
Years ago I encountered Woodstock Taylor on myspace. She commented favorably on my tunes and after a bit of back and forth encouraged me to check out Steve Ison - my introduction to this site.

Recently Woody's Edinburgh flat was destroyed by a fire. Everyone in the building managed to escape uninjured, but Woody lost virtually everything due to fire, smoke, and water damage.

Her friends and admirers in Edinburgh staged a fundraiser performance which has already happened. It is also possible to donate online for those of us who couldn't make the trip to Edinburgh.

I thought I'd provide a link to the donation page for those who may be interested in presenting a gift to Woody:

The page is administered by Woody's sister and refers to Woody as Ellie. I can vouch for this, but if you'd feel more comfortable confirming this with Woody herself I'd suggest looking her up on Facebook, where she uses the name Woodstock Taylor.

Sure thing, glad to be of service to Woody, who is a music and voice teacher. I suggested to Woody's sister that she mention Woody's stage name in order to make things clear and she has done so.

I've been amazed how gracious and upbeat she's been about it (at least on Facebook )......She's such a cool Dudess :)

Thanks for that link - was so sorry to hear about this. I have been in touch with her through Facebook - thank goodness she was ok herself but awful to lose music and instruments.
