so what are we up to musically? anything?
I started a new project. We have a great folk rock song with major harmonies about a week or so away from being done. So I started getting together demos for other songs. I found 7 on my list I thought we'd tackle, already finished the fake drums on all them to start the demos. Next up is rhythm guitar, going to tackle that today, should be able to get 2 or 3 parts done.

Go man go! Looking forward to hearing that. I am finishing up the final songs for the Starfunk movie and beginning to work out some new funk shit in my head. Gonna start producing it mid-next week. This is such a busy time of life for me. My wife says I work harder now than I did before I retired from all of my day jobs. But really, it's hard for me to call working on music work. I mean, I love every minute of it. Keep venturing towards your goals. You will get there! Respect, Stoneman

So i am working with a singer Emma Forman we are nearly finished our first song together Bad Love which Emma wrote. Emma is from Peterhead also and is on youtube if you have a spare 5 minutes check her out. I don't often write music to other artists music. So i think you will be pleasantly surprised when u hear it

A new song about time. Been a challenge lately. My arthritis is outta control. Gotta pick the good days. Say prayer for my pal Denny. His son is not good. He’s going thru a lot.

So I finished rhythm guitar for all 7 songs the other day, and did vocals for 2 songs yesterday. I set aside all sunday to do that but it took til 11 PM til I finally lined up the fatigue issue and my own mojo to tackle it. One of the 2 songs was a one take wonder, yay, and the second went smoothly 2. Sent the 2 songs to the boys to make the magic they do.
The next song I'm going to wrap up out of the batch is an epic story song about the years I worked at the US Post Office, This song is so lyrical it will blow your mind.

oh man. Just wait til you hear the song we just finished. It is so sublime. Even our superlative-adverse guitar player Jonny when he heard it said he never heard anything like it.

I'm in a weird music space right now. My band broke up (drummer quit) and Russ and I are going to continue working together. But I feel completely drained at the moment. I put everything I am into my projects, and when they end, I go through weird mental processes. I need to get my groove back on.

Good question Bryon! I'm playing flute with a kora player in Wales our band is called AfroWelsh Connection (we're on Facebook and YouTube if anyone's interested in hearing the music) and we've got quite a few gigs booked for summer festivals etc.
I'm also working on a so far instrumental piano piece which I'm trying to record and hopefully get some lyrics done - it's called Tin To Gold - the theme being about the alchemy of love - 10th anniversary is Tin and 50th is Gold but we married in 2011 at 59 so the idea is that tin is as good as gold when you're older (if that makes sense haha).
I've also got about 9 songs unrecorded since my last two albums so still hoping to go to the studio to record them though have not managed it yet but getting closer!!
Hope everyone is well - it's hard for us at the moment for various reasons including the fact that my husband's dad was Ukrainian and we've visited those beautiful towns that are currently being bombed and we have several relatives there.
Just had a cataract op as well and I can now see like an eagle!!!!
