Everybody has one song that they feel got underappreciated, one that deserved more love, right?
I'm going to start a station for all these posted on this thread, one per customer.
Mine is this song by Stambaugh/Wright called Moodswing Baby. It is such a sweet damn song, I wish it had gotten more love.

I feel a lot of my songs are under appreciated solely because I don't sing them as well as it should be sung. Many people start listening but after just maybe the first verse or so they tune out and go to next song. If people only Listen to the lyrics and not focus on how it's sung, or the production quality, then they will Hear a great written song or two.
A perfect example is "Keep Fooling Myself". When I released it as a full band, I didn't get much feedback. Not one compliment on the lyrics.
But when Francesca Tamellini recorded and released her slower just pianos version, she received a ton of accolades for such a well written song.
Not many people got back at Me for telling Me that although I wrote that song.
I think it's all selective listening. People tend to gravitate to a better singer than just listen to a song sung by a so-so singer. That's how I see it.

LITTLE BABY
This is a song I posted recently that did not get even one comment. My stats show people are listening to it but apparently no one was inspired to say anything on the pipeline. This song is not a barn burner but it's a sweet little tune dedicated to Sean Lennon and my own son. It's got a very authentic Beatle sound with lot's of nice George Harrison touches and beautiful vocals. Show some love to a little baby :-)

Just heard your song Richard, It is Great!
Well written and great production.
Your singer has that close to John Lennon sound that fits this song well!.
I like it very much.

Because I simply write lyrics (and occasionally a melody), and don't play or sing, very few of my songs are commented upon or possibly even listened to here. (Though I truly appreciate that several have been added to stations. :) )
I have wonderful collaborators, however, and always like an opportunity to get a little love for them. :)

Richard, that's such a sweet tune. Catchy melody, simple and touching lyrics, and definitely with a John Lennon vibe. Reminded me right away of 'Beautiful Boy'.
JD, where can I listen to 'Keep Fooling Myself'?

Song people missed by me is We are slaves as it was my very first release on IMP. I always thought it held a powerful message about the future. This was written about the time of 9/11/2001 every word in it has came true. I am not Edgar Cayce a wild stab in the dark. Which i never thought would come true. The tide is turning people are releasing how shitbook is being used against them. They want to have enough blackmail material to shut anyone up. Thats why you have to login in all the time not matter where you go. Everything is tracked and logged even this. I know how computers work. I will make one more predicition i see the end of the open internet due to the NSA releasing hacking tools that encompass every OS. There plan is to force people on to there secure servers. Where they can blackmail you if you step out line. Sites like this will not exist. Youtube Wikipedia Shitbook thats all you will get.

@Donna ~ I love the atmospheric arrangement and the cool brass parts and of course your lyrics which are always top notch. I could envision this song being
on a premium channel TV show. Great choice of singer!
