FT, you know you always have a friend in me and as such I'm sure you won't mind me copying your idea and indulging in some 'state of the mind' music
I had real fun and found some gems of songs (sadly most from around 2008 - a good year obviously) I intend to carry on later depending on where my mood takes me.
Thanks for the push that I needed to do more listening. I also found that my reviews were getting longer and deeper as I went along.
People, if you have time on your hands and you need to express your emotions then what better way to entertain yourself than starting a station like this.
I was the one who first gave instructions on how to make your own Stations and I'm proud of that (Thanks Dave)
Nothing more than feelings

Okay, I am going to both these stations, I like sound of the Sh*t one though, I will listen intently
me, guilty as charged on the eYe station with too much and music is truth oh well, I am streaming them when I can, so yes too many songs!! I recently transferred songs to the eYe 2 from the eYe ,so trying to be aware of too many tunes station wise and do try to be cognizant of not having over 100 maybe I should have only 25? okay i get the hint

Bryon, I had second that's about sh*t being on the front page so I changed it to nice little lollipops. Anyway I feel so much more mellow than I did earlier. I won't be listening to your Hell songs tonight now :)

Um, anyone concerned about the proliferation of stations on this site that offer zero commentary, or review?
If a person is going to take the time to start a station (commendable), why not give the community the benefit of your sensibility and offer/explain in a review why you added a song? A few words would help...
Besides the encouragin' tones benefitting the songwriter, with details, the comment gives the community a heads up on why the song is worthy...

Well I know I always enjoy reading the blurbs, plus it gives station extra exposure by putting them on the IMP Station Mash. That said there are all different kinds of ways to do stations, don't want to frown on any of them because the station managers are the MVPs of this site, no matter how they do it.

True on both sides from Steve and FT, some people are music listeners who like to chat and comment , others just like to listen, any additional station masters, manager, monsters, eyes, guys and gals and all are most welcome. the more the merrier. But I do see Steve's motive to the post here, I suppose we all would like to know what moves people to add one of our songs to their station(s) and it is always a lift to read how their take is and the why's wherefores, and provide some sense of how the song captured their attention,. again, to each their own whatever turns your crank. we appreciate you all fellow station managers.
to all station managers, we appreciate you and your time and efforts are appreciated!! thank you!!

This is a difficult one because people make stations for different reasons as has been said here. I have always added a blurb, I would feel guilty not doing that.
BUT
*** If the purpose is just to put together songs YOU like to play privately there's really no need to add a blurb BUT there's also no reason to show it on the Front Page in my view because that's just a 'list of songs'
*** If the purpose is to critique the song and add weight to it for the artist and tempt more listeners to check it out then it should make good Front page material and be a feature of the site.
I know it would be difficult to do but it would make sense to choose between private and public.
I think it would also be good to have a short blurb attached to Featured Songs, if they are important enough to be featured it would be helpful to know why - but once again this is extra work for the over-stretched admin department.

Rather, some of that stuff requires programming.

Scott, you even quoted one of my blurbs on the Kayak Big 25 once. I got quite a big kick out of that! :-)
I thought I wrote long blurbs, until I somehow stumbled across "LEGENDARY MUSIC." Neil must be the undisputed KING OF BLURBS!!!
If there is a blurbier station, please tell me and I'll set aside 2 weeks to listen to all the music and 4 weeks to read all the blurbs; lol!
