Have you been going thru any big changes lately?
I recently had one, not sure how I'm going to adjust. Life brings them around now and then, doesn't tt? One thing I've noted throughout my life, these changes, whether they're forced on you or you make monumental decisions to change, usually you're better off for them. Neg Ten did a song called The Change Is For The Better, that's what that's about. FT also had a noteworthy song about change called Is It Somethin; I Said. I always loved the last line of that - Just to think at first you thought you were changing me. An independent mind is often proud to be resistant of change, think about the song Free Bird - and this bird you cannot change. There's something mythic about that idea, but sometimes things come to a head and you've got to change, no matter how hard it seems to do it. Occasionally you make a big change and pretty much know right away that it was a change you didn't think out properly. Then you have to be strong enough to put your foot down and reassess your path. I think I am happiest when my life is stable and I have my routines, but a change has gone down, I need to buck uo and glide into the next chapter.

Changes that we voluntarily initiate on our own behalf are usually desirable but changes forced upon us by society or by fate are often tough to get used to. But the essence of human existence is adaptability ~ sink or swim, adapt or fail, alter routines or suffer the consequences. Sometimes forced change turns out to be something that is beneficial when you learn to adjust to it and something you would never have experienced if it was a change you didn't have to make. We often fear change even when it's good for us because the unknown and the unfamiliar can be frightening but when we overcome that fear, we allow for new opportunities and experiences that might be unexpectedly positive. I've faced many challenges in my life and I'm still here doing my thing. I've gone through radical changes in my life. Some I initiated and some were forced on me. I've made mistakes and I've learned from them. I tried to go with the flow even when the stream entered uncharted waters. Somehow I always found my way back home and you will too.

So needless to say I have been the do all for them during my dads recovery. His surgery has been hampered with set back after set back. A Pacemaker, several meds to stabilize heart rate and Pressure... Now he has a lump on his back that will be checked out later this week.
So if your wondering why I haven't been around much.... Now you know.... Things are getting better. It's tough to be the good son....

Hang in there Father Time! For as they say, "Only Time Will Tell"!
Nice thoughts there Richard. Thanks!
Feeling you, Bruce! My father passed this year and my mom is on her way too. She'd been saying, "I wish I had died 10 years ago!" for at least eight years. It is kinda funny that she stopped sayin' this after daddy passed.
