RIP Chuck Berry
Chuck Berry has passed away.
He was an excellent song writer. His songs were smart, lyrical and well - crafted.
If you play rock guitar, in any genre, all roads lead right back to him.
He was a force of nature, and will be missed.
RIP Mr. Berry.

He was the Innovator, He was the Architect.
He was the Inventor, He Was the epitome of Rock n Roll!
Chuck Berry was one, if not The original creator of Rock n Roll!
He inspired millions of American kids to pick up a guitar and the world soon followed suit! Without Chuck Berry, there would not had been such great bands as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, and so many more from the 50's, 60's, to even today!
He was definitely one of my idols and influences as a songwriter.
May you sleep in peace Mr Chuck Berry!!

Fly To Heaven, Chuck Berry.
One of the True Architects of Rock N Roll.
Basically The Inventor of Rock N Roll Guitar Playing.
You know who else was one of the Original Rock N Roll Architects?
Little Richard.
Man, we sure could use an album from him right about now.
Wonder if he has a page here at IMP. That'd be Awesome.
This---Chuck Berry's passing to the Great Beyond---
really is one of those occasions, where you just stop,
and kinda take stock of everything.
How many lives, he not only touched, but literally shaped.
Just incredible.
That he was working on an album,
and didn't get to finish it,
that's what makes me cry.
I see a Bsex version of Roll Over Beethoven probably
in the not too distant future...
Hey maybe we could all do a Chuck Berry song,
and then maybe somebody make it all into a station.
That might be nice.
We Love You Chuck Berry.
Welcome To Berry Park In The Sky.
Oh yeah.
I spoke to him once. On the phone.
For real, many many years ago,
like, decades...
someone had slipped me his telephone number,
that's how they answered the phone,
"Berry Park...."
First time, it was a young woman,
I think I lost my nerve and said 'huh? sorry, wrong number...'
Next time I tried it, Chuck answered the phone.
Same way too.
Just says "Berry Park",
Think about it for a sec.
That's like Elvis, pickin' up the phone
saying "Graceland..."
Kinda.
So anyway I just said to him,
"You're great, a big influence, you're incredible..."
He thanked me, I said goodbye and hung up.
That was kinda cool,
one doesn't often get to do something like that.
Berry Park In The Sky.
That's here he is now. We Miss You, Chuck.
Send Some Magic Down Here To Us When You Get A Chance, Sir.
Thank you.
Hail, Hail, Rock N Roll.
