update on 2024 Golden Kayaks
ok the nominees station is done. and you can find it HERE.
the ballots are coming probably by tomorrow, no later than Friday sometime. There's a link there but it doesn't go to the ballot yet. Nothing stopping y'all from starting your listening though.
oh and most importantly, the station includes the nominees for best band, artists, station managers.
Congrats to all the nominees! Everybody did a great job with that this year, every single entry is killa.

Unbelievable BUT....Nominated for Golden Kayak as Best Male Artist 2024?
HUGE THANK YOU to Any and All who had a Hand in it. A GIGANTIC and Heartfeltly Appreciated Honor!!!! Thank You!!!! It is a True Honor to be mixed in with All of the Heavyweights it that List. Just the Nomination is a Shock. I will regard it as one of my Highest and Most Appreciated Accomplishments.

Thanks you so much for the nominations. Youtube stole the idea for stations straight from IMP. But there is terrible it,s made by a stupid algorithm. Which just plays the same songs over and over. You get really average bands with millions and billions of views. And your scratching your head wondering why?. The old brown envelopes flying everywhere
That's why IMP stations are so much better picked by real people because they liked it and commented on it. That's why it is an honour to get even a nomination. Scott puts on such a great show as well must be so much work involved

yeah Spotify built their whole site around the same stations idea. and various other sites on the web. For the record, Dave Walton my co-founding partner came up with the technology for that and first used it at a site called Artist Launch where he and I met.
I never thought when I was scouting for artists to invite in 2003 and 2004, it would lead to a site that is still going strong after 20 years. It's a real honor for me to get to bring the awards show to you all and I'm sure this year's is going to have some highly emotional moments.
