Thank you again, Steve. You are the true indie spirit that fits everything that IMP offers and makes available to the world of indie music.
As for being “the voice of experience”, well, if you could call when it all began for me way back in 1959, and what has brought me to this point in my life 60 years later, as being “the voice of experience,” then I feel blessed to be seen in that way and in that light, and blessed to still be able to rock ‘n’ roll and everything in between.
As well as being the title of the first song on my new and 5th album, Dreams In The Wind and the first song in the list of songs on my Artists page here at IMP, 1959 was the year I wrote my first “real” song at the age of 17 while in high school.
From there I went on to graduate from university, followed by marriage and children and the beginning of a long journey through a 35-year entrepreneurial business career and amateur musical career, all of which took me around the world while continuing to write songs, and playing and singing whenever, wherever and with whomever I could, albeit it in assorted kitchens, basements, garages, at teen dances, barn dances, open mics, on flatbed trailers at open air concerts, on small stages, big stages, theatre stages and hotel stages, at youth centres, seniors’ centres, recreational centres, weddings, and at places I’ve long forgotten about along the way through the years, leading up to debuting my first album No Looking Back with The Legendary Bear Creek Band, followed by two more albums, then my cover song album Those Were The Days with The Hot Rod Stars band,
Then in the summer of 2017, with the stars being all lined up for me, and with the help of Ray Lyell – my producer, co-writer and co-vocalist on several songs on new album, Dreams In The Wind and Trevor Titian – my creative and recording engineer, plus platinum recording artist and producer, John Wozniak, adding his experience to my team, I was truly blessed to have this once-in-a-lifetime band of some of the best of the best musicians and accompanying artists in Canada – “an excellent band” as you kindly remarked, backing me. You just can’t buy or orchestrate such a blessing, or such a line-up of stars for that matter.
Having now uploaded 11 of the 16 songs on my new album to my IMP Artists page, with 5 more to upload in the coming days and weeks, I’m calling DREAMS IN THE WIND my gift of music to my many friends, and fans here and around the world, and to my family and to my wife – my partner of 54 years, for her patience and support of the commitment I have made through the years to my passion for music.
Music has been my life, continues to be my life, and is my second love. I’m planning on going down – whenever I do – writing, playing and singing, and just like you said, Steve, 'on a song forever young’.

I memorialized your wonderful song, and Neil's and Dana C.'s in a new station, 3 Great Songs. such an uplift, like an airplane, to hear such great sounds, and song-writing imhv...
Congrats to all, including' the viewers, reviewers and station managers, and listeners, Blake mentions the ear like a "whirlpool," and says
To God
if you have formed a circle to go into,
go into it yourself, and see how you would do."
lol...
humbly,
Steve
