New page for Dolores
Hi everyone,
I am going to be putting up a page in memory of Dolores in the next week or so.
If you have done any work or collabs with Dolores or SCS please put a small descriptive paragraph with the song on this blog so I can add it to the station.
If there's a fitting song here on IMP that you want to express and seems appropriate, please do so with a small paragraph with your thoughts.
Dolores was a great artist, friend, and inspiration to us all. She will be missed.
R I P
Thanks,
Duane

It really flummoxes me that she never got to hear that Shoe City Sound won the GK for Best Band. Anyway I've decided from this point forward to name that award after her so starting next year it will be named the Delores Paradise Best Band of the Year Award.

I've always thought of this song as being appropriate for playing at a funeral. Just imagine Dolores singing this song unto you, Duane(like my friend Bill did to me... and now... he too is dead)... Oh My God! Tears are still flowing as I am writing this... Melancholia

Thank you everyone! I will add all these great songs and more of SCS tunes too.
There's an Obit Bryon found and I'll take bits and pieces from that too.
Thanks everyone! Dolores will truly be missed!

Hoping you might find my cover of “For You” worthy of a place on your page as a tribute to Dolores’ memory from me and Ray Lyell and the band. I dedicated the song on my Dreams In The Wind album to the wonderfully talented musician and band member, Carl Horton, who we lost as a result of a sudden heart attack 36 hours after he had laid down the beautiful Grand piano, strings and Hammond organ tracks on the song.
It was the last piece of music Carl played. That it included a passage from the 23rd Psalm made his passing that more poignant and unbelievable. If you didn’t ‘believe’, you at least had to wonder.
This one is for you, Dolores ... For You

Here is the link to my song Easy that Dolores did a lovely cover of - I'd be honoured for it to be included on the new page for her.
I still just can't get over the shock of her passing........
Easy
The original track is on my own artist page. Thanks.

hi Duane,
I really appreciated Dolores' sensibility, added her music to 11 stations over many years, if I'm counting that correctly...Dolores rocks, and her collabros with Bryon and you...
A new song "L-o-v-e" sprung from the Archives, reminds about Dolores, so perhaps you will consider for the station, as you mentioned above. Also, by the way, there's song by the Out of Bodies, "You'll See Her Standing There," a charmin' song, also may charm it's way onto the station, mayhaps, up to you. (You can find both songs over at Cuppa Tea station also).
Thanks, Duane...

Very sad news indeed.
A perennial sunny day on the pipeline, she will be missed indeed.
Thanks for letting us know Duane, and thank you for creating such a touching and heartfelt tribute to her.

Added to my station: Instrumentally Yours
Thanks, Duane, Bryon and Paul for this beautiful tribute to our dear friend and colleague, Delores.
At times I‘ve had songs on the pipeline that didn’t’ receive a single comment and then along came Delores with a supportive and cheerful comment that always made my day. She was a very special person and I will miss her immensely. The world needs more people like her.
