what is the best 2 chord song (not 3) in your opinion?
Teaching music----------- it is handy to have a few 2 chorders up your sleeve, esp for disabled students!
My faves at the moment; ' Better way' by Ben Harper B/ F#
' Don't Worry Be Happy ' also B F#
lots of traditioal tunes fit this & kids songs too!!

Title eludes me (drat!) - that Revolver song by John - "Turn off your mind, relax, and float down stream..." He conceived it as a one-chord song, but to my ear it's C and B-flat. This is going to bother me until I get the title...
In the meantime, dig out your copy of Revolver...I had a go at covering it once...the bass and drums are AMAZINGLY steady...and have you seen that bit in the "Anthology" dvd where George Martin and Paul, George & Ringo are in the studio having a listen and pushing faders??? OMG!!!

Agreed and understood - but I'm hearing that B-flat chord...other elements, probably Mr. Martin's work - didn't seem to work out as a 'pure' one-chorder...and you deserve the card - I hope to earn it back (lol)!!

also 'mama tried'.----------------- thats a great song------------ I spent 20 years in prison doing life without parole----etc
You know,-- the first 45 record I bought with my own money, was "Oh Boy" by Buddy Holly and the Crickets and the B side was "Not Fade Away" -----
so we got three ?----------we play it live--- with the Bo Diddley beat!
some drummers find it difficult!!
