This song will have you hopping an bopping like you were back at the the sock hop and take your girl out for a soda and ice cream sundae.
I have to say I never expected this it just jumped out of the gate and kept rockin' till the very end.
A throwback to a more carefree age where the most important thing was your little sweetheart and you just shaking your thing on the dance floor here there and everywhere like you just did not car because at the time all there was was that moment and you were hoping and dreaming about a kiss goodnight and if that happens you went straight to cloud nine.
Thanks for the memories after living with so many horrible memories it was nice to find out I still had a few that were on the lighter side that I forgot I had until your song.
Yours truly,
TSC

The piano was really rocking and I enjoyed it to the end.
If I had to make any critique it would be that when I listened to it the vocal seems like it was a little too far back in the mix at least from what I heard but well done.
Thanks for the song and the good trip to memory lane.

@Ken - What you heard was mix 1. I had since replaced it with mix 2 but didn't mention it. Try listening again. ;-)

I do hear the difference and mix 2 is better. To my "production" ears the piano is still over the top of the vocal. I would bring the vocal out even further it good there is no reason to hide it. if you have enough headroom try bringing the vocal out by 4-6 db over the piano.
I will say that I have put off listening because I'm getting over a head cold but I thought I heard it correctly.
Respectfully,
TSC

Mixing is a very subjective thing.

I like the mix. For what it's worth.

Wow! That's a hard rocker with lots of flavor. Nastalgic in style and groove. Masterfully portrayed and driven by my favorite IMP songwriter. Richard! You just keep bringing that heat don't ya?
Much Respect Man!

Well this in a nutshell pretty much sums up why I stopped giving reviews at all. When I review a song I listen to it very carefully. I don't really expect people to always agree with my opinions. As you said one person's perfect mix is not as perfect to another.
To my ears I thought the song would benefit from the vocal being brought further out. The problem I find is that people are not even willing to take the time and effort to try it.
Unless someone is really horrific I don't blow them up. There was only one review I ever gave that was terrible because that "rapper: was just awful and I told him exactly how bad he was. Stomeman agreed with my harsh review.
Mostly I offer what I consider to be the good points and I offer helpful suggestions. The crowd here seem to only want fanboys who kiss ass and say how great if was.
That is not me so this will likely be my last review on IMP every time I try to be helpful I get my hand slapped and its just not worth it.

@Two Silo Complex -
You said that people don't make an effort to listen or make an effort. I did listen and I did make an effort!
You said: "The crowd here seem to only want fanboys who kiss ass and say how great it was."
That is not true and an unusually harsh thing to say.

My opinions seem to irritate people.
I thought that you already had mix 2 done. I did not know that you changed mixed 2 to bring out the vocal as I suggested. For that part I guess I made an ass out of myself but it something I'm used to doing. I made a mistake.
I did enjoy your song and meant what I said in my first review. I guess I've been bitter so long I don't know how else to be. It has no reflection on you but I guess I made it go that way.
Sorry Richard I do appreciate you considering my comments and my snide nature ruined what was supposed to be about your song. if you want Scott to remove my comments from the review that is OK I understand.

Your songs are out of key. You need some musical theory.
