Very evocative blues song with a deep and sincere interpretation, the production is very efficient, I imagine quite well as TV Theme Songs like True Detective or others.

Epic arrangement and performance....killer vocals...lot's of cool surprises like the acoustic gtr solo followed by an elec lead solo...haunting sound effects...this song has it all! Reminded me of Eric Burden and the Animals, one of my all time favorites.

I liked this as soon as the vocals started. What a great voice! Nice musicianship, arrangements and drums. Whats not to like? Nothing! Everything here was outstanding.

I liked it very much. Great growl in the vocals. It reminded me of a song by the Meat Puppets called Hole in the Roof. It also feels like The Animals as Richard said above. The only things I would look to improve on it would be lower or change the reverb on the acoustic guitar and snare (to me it gives it a dated feel but you DID say that its from a long time ago...), cut the acoustic guitar solo in half (happens right before the electric solo) and end the electric solo just a bit "stronger" going into the last verse. I liked the changes in the structure of the song (like the hard stops before you say "I'll make a fool out of you", the way the rhythm guitars are hitting on different accents in parts of the song, the parts where everything goes quiet and then crescendos again). Those decisions in the structure made it a great song!
