Pauline is an independent singer/songwriter from the Okanagan Valley, in British Columbia, Canada. She is a member of Music BC, SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) and most recently the CCMA.
Pauline is relatively “new” to the business of music. She began writing and performing music on a semi-professional basis, as a solo act and with various bands and musicians in the latter part of 2003. Pauline's sound/songwriting has been described as a cross between country/roots with some rock influences.
Over the past 5 years, Pauline has learned much about DIY (doing-it-yourself) in the music business. Her music has been well received and she has found success with her music locally, as well via the internet and various indie music sites..
Late in 2005, Pauline entered one of her songs; ”Rainbow Café” into the Music BC (MAP Program) for which she won studio time at The Factory Studios in Vancouver, BC. In April of 2008, Pauline was finally able to put the studio time to use, as well as finance the other associated costs of recording her first EP..
Pauline was very fortunate to be able to hire and work with some of Canada’s music "best" on her recent CD project. They include:.
Engineers: John Maclean and Sheldon Zaharko of The Factory Studios..
Drums: Pat Steward (The New Odds, Bryan Adams, Matt Good...)..
Guitars: Shaun Verreault (solo performer, Wide Mouth Mason)..
Bass: Doug Elliot (The New Odds)..
Keyboards: Tyson Naylor...
Pauline’s “self-titled and self produced" debut EP was officially released June 12, 2008 and is available for purchase through CD Baby, Itunes as well as other online digital retailers.
