Shout!

Village Jammers Well, since you asked, Neil, we'd appreciate it if you give a listen to "To Walk The Line". Our orignal intention was to write a tribute to Waylon Jennings on the evening of his passing, but lyrically it turned out to be a different matter. Enjoy.
VJ's Son of a gun, I thought sure I had loaded that one long ago. Oh well, it's on our page now, thanks, Neil.
Todd (Hop On Pop) Hey Neil... I have a song that I actually wrote with Joihnny in-mind. He would've sounded great singing it, and I wish he were still around to do so. Would you mind giving it a listen? It's called "C'mon Angel" and there are 2 versions on our page. Thanks
Village Jammers Man! I know who to talk to about copy for the next CD. Thanks, Neil.

Jerry Butler Country
Tribute To JCash/Ballad Of The Teenage Queen
Jerry does a great job on this legendary Johnny Cash song ... one of my favorites and the first song that I learned to play and sing way back in 1958 - yep, that long ago - when Johnny hit #1 with the song on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart . added to station 8/1/2010 4:23:35 AM

Grapes of Wrath
Right from the get-go John, with the way you were strummin' that guitar of yours and singing, it was hard not to picture Johnny Cash here. This is one fine song my friend and a great tribute to the Legend himself. Your talent as a gifted songwriter and acoustic performer shines brightly here reflecting your success and many awards as well as the respect of your peers. Well-done troubadour!! added to station 2/25/2010 2:06:23 AM

To Walk The Line
The shadow of The Man In Black walks tall from line to line through this great tune picking up titles of some of his songs along the way and layin' them into the groove. The by-line on the Jammers song page reads: "written on the eve of Waylon Jennings' passing". As a songwriter I know only so well the sudden and unexpected out-of-the-blue impulses that can swing into motion resulting in a song that begins with one face and turns into another by the time it comes out at the end of the line. The Jammers admiration and respect for Johnny flows like big river all through this great song. The VJ's do an awesome job themselves in forming an eclectic New England working-journeymen version of the Highwaymen. "To Walk The Line" is soulfully haunting - hushed vocals, smooth bluegrass pickin' and strummin' - sunset pretty from beginning to end. added to station 9/10/2008 4:58:58 PM
